ResumenEn este artículo se realiza un análisis de la gestión de mantenimiento en las pymes industriales de Ciudad Guayana, Estado Bolívar. Para caracterizar estas empresas, se aplicó un cuestionario a gerentes, jefes y supervisores de mantenimiento pertenecientes a una muestra de setenta y cinco (75) pymes del sector industrial, de una población de doscientas (200) empresas. A través de la aplicación del análisis factorial exploratorio, se estructuró un modelo de gestión de mantenimiento basado en el ciclo Planear, Hacer, Verificar y Actuar (PHVA). La calificación obtenida para el conjunto de empresas evaluadas (57% de cumplimiento), pone de relieve la debilidad de la gestión de mantenimiento en las pymes industriales, particularmente en los aspectos de planificación y mejora continua; la mayoría de las pymes evaluadas se encuentran en la etapa de mantenimiento correctivo, siendo su norma de actuación la respuesta solo a la ocurrencia de averías. El reto planteado a las pymes de la región es evolucionar del paradigma de la corrección a la práctica de la prevención, para lo cual el empresario debe concebir al mantenimiento como un elemento de competitividad en lugar de un mal necesario. En un entorno de producción los procesos de toma de decisiones son importantes debido a los impactos que estos generan sobre otros procesos. Para tal fin resulta conveniente acceder a la información almacenada en los grandes almacenes de datos a través de un modelo menos complejo, los Datamarts. Un Datamart permite optimizar el proceso de aprovechamiento de la información, a través del agrupamiento de los factores de interés que inciden sobre un hecho o hechos en particular. Así pues, se realizó una investigación del tipo proyectiva y estableciendo como objetivo general el desarrollo de un Datamart basado en el modelo estrella, orientado hacia los modelos de sistemas productivos agropecuarios. La optimización del proceso de extracción y visualización de los datos almacenados en el Datamart, fue llevada a cabo a través de la implementación de un cubo OLAP. Utilizando herramientas de software como SQL Server Management para el diseño de la base de datos, el entorno de desarrollo integrado Visual Studio para la ejecución y diseño de los procesos de extracción, transformación y carga de los datos, y de Power BI como herramienta de Inteligencia de Negocio para la generación de informes y visualizaciones dinámicas de los indicadores establecidos. Cientos de millones de familias rurales se ven atrapadas en un ciclo con baja productividad agrícola, dando lugar a un sufrimiento innecesario que obstaculiza el desarrollo agrícola y el crecimiento económico en general. La finalidad del artículo consiste en contribuir en la búsqueda de posibles soluciones para el problema de la baja productividad en el área agrícola, de las personas que habitan en los campos y en particular aquellos pobladores que se dedican y dependen de la agricultura como medio de subsistencia. El problema consiste en la pérdida de los derechos humanos, primordialmente en las poblaciones rurales. Teniendo en cuenta estas consideraciones, se planteó un marco conceptual y un enfoque analítico capaz de operacionalizar y por ende lograr establecer el modelo conceptual de productividad agrícola rural, con el objetivo de integrar y estudiar las variables que permitan explicar un efecto determinante sobre los ingresos de los productores, dichos ingresos son el resultado de aplicar un modelo que garantiza de forma natural, un equilibrio económico, social y ambiental. La investigación se enmarcó en el enfoque metodológico de tipo analítico. El modelo se planteó en función de estudios previos basados en modelos agroalimentarios, índices de progreso, modelos de productividad, análisis de las cadenas de valor, desarrollo endógeno, marcos conceptuales, enfoques analíticos y distritos industriales; permitiendo al modelo mencionado emerger como una metodología inédita denominado Modelo Conceptual de Productividad Agrícola Rural (MoPAR), el cual será una herramienta tecnológica que se entregará a los productores con la finalidad que sea incluido dentro de sus herramientas de toma de decisiones.
