The health of university students has been discussed over time, and is even seen as an important aspect of student assistance policies at Brazilian universities. Therefore, this research aims to develop a study on the aspects involving the mental health of medical students in the face of the pandemic experienced by Covid-19, analyzing its main impacts both on their studies and on their health and quality of life. The method was carried out based on a literature review using a qualitative approach of an exploratory nature, under the bibliographic review method. The results show that in the current situation experienced by the pandeia, the inability to maintain healthy habits has a major negative impact on the mental health of university students. As a conclusion, it is clear that the consequences of psychic illness for students in the health field, as well as in medicine, have increasingly impacted their health and quality of life.
