This paper presents a novel approach for measuring the differential inductances in a permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM). The knowledge of their accurate values is a prerequisite for sensorless vector controlled systems with carrier signal injection. For the measurements a standard industrial power converter is used. Besides the determination of selfinductances in the rotor-fixed reference frame, the measurement of the cross-coupling differential inductances namely the cross saturation is a main part. A high frequency sine signal injection method is used for this purpose. The measurement is compared with the result of FEM calculations. In the second part the influence of the rotor position and the machine load in steady state on the high frequency current amplitude in the quadrature axis is analysed, while the signal is only injected in the direct axis. The results of these measurements are compared with saturation effects in the machine.Index Terms-Permanent magnet synchronous machine, sensorless control, differential cross-saturation inductances, high frequency injection method, rotor position dependency.
In this paper we describe a simple car crash detection algorithm implemented on Android smartphones. The algorithm uses accelerometer sensor and location sensor information which are combined to detect typical patterns of car crash situations. We present technical details of our implementation and first results of an evaluation.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
