The aim of this work was to estimate the absorbed dose due to compositional radiopharmaceutical of 153 Sm/ 177 Lu-EDTMP in human organs based on biodistribution data of rats by using OLINDA/EXM software. The absorbed dose was determined by the Radiation Dose Assessment Resource (RADAR) formulation after calculating cumulated activities in each organ. The results show that the organs that received the highest absorbed dose were the bone surface and red marrow (1.51 and 7.99 mGy/ MBq for 153 Sm, and 1.98 and 10.76 mGy/MBq for 177 Lu, respectively). According to the results, using of cocktail of 153 Sm/ 177 Lu-EDTMP has considerable characteristics as compared to 153 Sm-EDTMP and 177 Lu-EDTMP alone.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
