Se presenta los resultados de las investigaciones arqueológicas desarrolladas en el complejo arqueológico de Rupac, el sitio de mayor monumentalidad en la región Lima, pero hasta este momento uno de los más desconocidos. Rupac tiene una ocupación continua en los periodos prehispánicos tardíos, definido por el desarrollo de la cultura de los Atavillos en su etapa independiente (Intermedio Tardío) y bajo el dominio del Tawantinsuyu (Horizonte Tardío). Predomina en Rupac la arquitectura tipo Kullpi, edificaciones funerarias a modo de mausoleos con una organización tripartita, en cuyo interior y en los alrededores se realizaban actividades de culto a los ancestros.
El estado del Tawantinsuyu llegó a abarcar en su máxima expansión, casi todo el territorio de la Cordillera de los Andes. Para lograr esta magnífica expansión tuvo que absorber a las diferentes entidades socio políticas que ocupaban los Andes en sus diferentes latitudes. Esta situación fue posible gracias a la aplicación de una serie de estrategias políticas de dominación, aplicadas según la realidad socio cultural de cada una. El territorio de la nación Aymaraes (del Intermedio Tardío) no fue una excepción. Tras la anexión de los Aymaraes, se edificaron nuevos asentamientos de control Tawantinsuyu y se re-ocuparon otros antiguos fundados por los Aymaraes.
Se presentan los resultados del análisis del material óseo animal procedente de las excavaciones en el Complejo Arqueológico de Lumbra (Sectores A y B), Temporada 2012-2013. Como resultado de estos análisis se definió que el mayor porcentaje de restos óseo animal corresponden a camélidos (llamas, alpacas), lo que revela el gran uso de estos animales no solo con fines alimenticios, sino también para el uso de su fibra con fines textiles, de sus huesos para elaborar artefactos y como medios de transporte y comunicación.
Se presenta las características de un contexto funerario del Horizonte Medio recuperado del complejo funerario de Cerro Colorado, en el extremo meridional del valle de Huaura. Entre los años 2014 y 2015 el proyecto de Investigación Arqueológica Chancay-Huaral-Atavillos, logró excavar más de 2000 contextos funerarios de este extenso complejo funerario, el más grande de toda la costa central peruana.
