Seitdem pflanzliehe S~reckungswuehsstoffe in den 2Oer Jahren nachgewiesen wurden (W~I~T 1928), ist ihr Wirkungsmechanismus immer wieder Gegenstand yon Uberlegungen und vieler Hypothesen geworden. Naehdem in den 30er Jahren die ehemisehe Natur des ,,Heteroauxins" = Indol-3-essigs/~ure (IES) aufgedeek~ wurde, war eine erste stoffliehe Voraussetzung fiir Untersuchungen fiber die Wuchss~offwirkung geschaffen. Jedoch erst heu~e haben wir mi~ der En~wicldung und Anwendung der Papierchromatographie Aussicht, die aufgestellten Hypothesen auf ihre Riehtigkeit zu prfifen, d.h. stoffliehe Beweise daffir oder dagegen linden zu kSnnen.In den Arbeiten yon A~DaEAE U. Mitarb. (1955--1960) and yon B~T-CLAI~x und WH~,~LEI~ (1959) werden Indol-3-acetylasparagin-s&ure (IAAS) und Indol-3-aeetamid (IAAM) als Stoffwechselprodukte junger Erbsenpflanzen und Kartoffelscheiben nach IES-Inkubation beschrieben. AI~D~EAE, GOOD und vA~r YSSELSTEI~r (1956) konnten beide Substanzen naeh entspreehenden Inkubationen in etiolierten Koleoptilen yon Mais, Hafer und Gerste, in etiolierten Hypokotylen yon Sonnenblumen und Buehweizen, in e~iolierten Kartoffelsprossen und in Spro$teilen yon Tomaten und Kohlpflanzen naehweisen. Daraus kSnnen wit folgern, dab die F/~higkeit zur Kondensation tier IES mit NHa bzw. der Aminogruppe der Asparagins/iure bei hSheren Pflanzen allgemein anzutreffen ist. --Ob diesen Subs~anzen eine Bedeu~ung in der Kedge der WaehstumsauslSsung durch IES zukommt, und welehe physiologisehe Wirksamkeit sie entfalten, ist bisher unbekannt.
In den letzten Jahren sind eine geihe yon Arbeiten ersehienen, in denen biogene Reaktionsprodukte yon Streekungswuehsstofien in pflanzlichen Geweben besehrieben werden (A~DnEA~ und GOOD 1955; KLiiMBT 1959 KLiiMBT , 1961a Z~K 1961). Der Nachweis und die Identilizierung dieser Substanzen wurden an PflanzenmateriM durchgeftihrt, das zuvor in entspreehenden WuehsstofflSsungen inkubiert war. Die aufgefundenen Reaktionsprodukte sind:1. die Asparagins~urekonjugate der Wuehsstoffs~uren, 2. die Glueoseester der Wuehsstoffs/turen und 3. die Hydroxywuehsstoffs~uren und ihre Glucoside. Jedes der drei genannten I{eaktionsprodukte repr/isentiert einen bestimmten Bindungstyp. Ffir die beiden ersten steht lest, dab es sieh dabei um Inaktivierungsprodukte handelt, die mi~ grofier Wahrseheinliehkeit die aktiven Wuehsstoffmolekfile wieder freisetzen kSnnen.Das dritte bekannte Reaktionsprodukt --die Hydroxywuehsstoff-s~ure--kann nicht in das aktive, prim~re Wuchsstoffmolekiil riiekgeffihrt werden. Ob diese Hydroxylierung der Wuehsstoffs~ure eine,,Entgiftungsreaktion" darstellt, wie ZE~K (1962a) sie deutet, bleibt noeh offen.Die vorliegende Arbeit ist ein Beitrag zu unserer Kenntnis fiber die Glueoseester-Derivate aromatiseher S~uren vom Typ der Streekungswuchsstoffe. Schon frfiher vermutete ieh in den X-Derivaten Kohlenhydratester, da sie sehr leieht ammoniolysierbar sind und dabei zu S~ureamiden spalten (KL)iM~T 1961b). Die Riehtigkeit meiner Annahme konnte ieh nun ffir zwei verschiedene X-geaktionsprodukte naehweisen.
Ergebnisse und DiskussionDie Abb. 1 und 2 geben einen Llberbliek fiber das ehromatographische Verhalten der Reaktionsprodukte der Naphthalin-l-essigs/~ure und der Benzoes/~ure, die in Weizenkoleoptilzyhndern naeh Inkubation mit * Tell einer tIabilitationsschrift, Bonn 1963.
