Real-time kinematic (RTK) technique is important for mapping applications requiring short measure time, the distance between rover and base station, and high accuracy. There are several RTK methods used today such as the traditional RTK, long base RTK (LBRTK), network RTK (NRTK), and precise point positioning RTK (PPP-RTK). NRTK and LBRTK are popular with the advantage of the distance, the time, and accuracy. In the present study, the NRTK and LBRTK measurements were compared in terms of accuracy and distance in a test network with 6 sites that was established between 5 and 60 km. Repetitive NRTK and LBRTK measurements were performed on 6 different days in 2015-2017-2018 and additionally 4 campaigns of repetitive static measurements were carried out in this test network. The results of NRTK and LBRTK methods were examined and compared with all relevant aspects by considering the results of the static measurements as real coordinates. The study results showed that the LBRTK and NRTK methods yielded similar results at base lengths up to 40 km with the differences less than 3 cm horizontally and 4 cm vertically.
A submarine area close to the Turkish and Greek border between the cities of Samos-Greece and Seferihisar-Turkey has been shaked on October 30, 2020 by a Mw= 6.9 earthquake. In this study, the finite source mechanism of the Samos earthquake was investigated using geodetic methods and the coseismic behavior of the earthquake was modeled. The observed coseismic displacements at 62 sites were inverted for the fault geometry and the slips. The mainshock did not generate an on-land surface rupture. However, the uniform slip modeling shows a finite source of 43.1 km long and 16 km wide rupture, which slips 1.42 m along a north dipping normal fault extending from the Aegean Sea floor to a depth down to ~13 km. While the uniform slip model is consistent with the seismological solutions and provides a sufficient fit to the far field coseismic offsets, a distributed slip model is necessary to account for the near field coseismic displacements.
Here, we present a combined analysis of GNSS-derived strain rate maps in accordance with recent seismicity to reveal that the N-S extension is accommodated primarily by strike-slip faulting of the İzmir Balıkesir Transfer Zone (İBTZ) where a counter clockwise rotation (approx. 25-100º/Myr) along vertical axis is dominant. Our results indicate that strike-slip segments within the İBTZ show variable transport sense and amount of slip along them and they connect by hard linkage relay ramps with the dip to oblique slip normal faults. According to the strain map, Karaburun Peninsula has the largest strain rates of 137 ns/yr extension (NE-SW) and 126 ns/yr (NW-SE) compression. To the south the largest strain areas begin to shrink where the NW-trending sinistral Riedel fault is located. The smallest strains in the region are measured on the NEtrending Tuzla Fault compatible with right lateral component. Based on this, the northern part of the Karaburun Peninsula has the shortest recurrence period in the 3 region. The geodetic earthquake recurrence periods throughout the region as 800 yr for magnitudes 7 and above and 70 yr for magnitudes between 6 and 7. The period was calculated 30 years for M>5.5 (with 99% probability) and 100 years for M> 6 (with 95% probability). These are in consistent with geodetic earthquake recurrence periods (25-30 years for M> 5.5 and 80-100 years for M> 6). This result shows that the seismic hazard sources in the region have increased the earthquake risk that may caused loss of life and property in near future.
Anahtar Kelimeler: Bulanık mantık, Kentsel dönüşüm, Riskli alan A Fuzzy Logic Based System Design For Determination Of Risk Areas In Urban RegenerationABSTRACT: Making the cities safer and more livable process, in other words, urban regeneration application should be applied healthfully and analytically not after the disasters before they occur. For this, the first condition is to determine correctly areas containing risk and the priorities of these areas against a possible disaster. In this study, the process of determining risk areas has been approached with fuzzy logic technique and a model that could set the standard for the risky areas as determined according to the different priorities of different institutions has been proposed. In the proposed fuzzy logic based system, structure average performance, suitability for accomodation and population density are used as input parameters. These data are categorized in accordance with range values to obtain fuzzified data. By running rule base on fuzzified data, risk priority output value is obtained. In order to make user to design fuzzy logic based model easily, an interface is developed by using C# programming language.
