Chronic actinic dermatitis (CAD) is a refractory, recurrent, immune-mediated photosensitive skin disease, which mainly appears as chronic dermatitis changes in exposed areas in middle-aged and old man. Although the pathogenesis of CAD is still not explained clearly, it has been claimed that T cells may play an important role in CAD. 1 The effectiveness of conventional treatments, including opacifying agent, topical glucocorticoids, and immunosuppressive agents, are not obvious in some refractory cases. Herein, we report a case of refractory CAD successfully remitted with tofacitinib.
