The purpose of this study is to examine the current status of e-learning in Korea and to analyze e-learning operation cases in Korean public and private institutions. Indeed, through the aforementioned steps, the present study discusses e-learning operation issues and measures to develop e-learning in the future. Via literature reviews, the current status of e-learning is examined. Moreover, e-learning operation cases are investigated by visiting the e-learning websites of Korean public and private institutions that offered e-learning in 2022. Using the results of the case analysis, SWOT analysis is conducted, and based on the analyzed current status and issues of e-learning, plans for e-learning operations are discussed. The study results identify e-learning (Interactive, Edu-tech, Metaverse) issues and present solutions. It is true that the content of this study has limitations, since it only examines a few institutions. However, the study is significant, as it identifies the reality of e-learning and puts forth diverse perspectives on the direction of e-learning by assessing the current status and issues of Korean e-learning.
