The COVID-19 pandemic has led to online learning. The sudden learning process shift from offline to online causes new problems, including students’ difficulty in interacting during the learning process. The media used are usually only in the form of WhatsApp groups and emails which caused students to have difficulty understanding the lesson, limited learning resources and insufficient study time. One way to overcome this problem is to create a web-based physics e-module as an appropriate learning medium in this online learning period. The learning model used was discovery-based learning in order that students could find concepts independently. Therefore, this study aimed to develop a web-based e-module using a discovery-based learning model to increase student's interest and desire to learn. The development used in this research was 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). This research was carried out until the development stage. At the development stage, the e-module validation was carried out by 4 experts as validators. The validation results obtained were 87.8% with very valid criteria. Meanwhile, the practicality of this web-based physics e-module was carried out on students and physics teachers of class XI MIPA 1 SMA N 2 Padang Panjang with percentages of 89.6%, respectively, with very practical criteria. To sum up, this web-based physics e-module using a discovery learning model on Newton's Law material was very valid and very practical to use.
The abundance of forest products in the form of areca nut and plantation products in the formof lime fruit in the district of Sumpur Kudus are local potentials that need to be processed toprevent price declines and maintain material quality. The purpose of this empowerment is toprovide information and training on how to process forest products (areca nut) and gardenproducts (lime fruit) into good quality food and drinks. Participants in this activity are theTanjung Bonai Aur village, Sumpur Kudus sub-district, Sijunjung Regency, a maximum of 30(thirty) people. The Stages of the Workshop are as follows: Techniques to make syrup from limejuice, Techniques to process young areca nut into health drinks, Techniques to process Cassavainto snacks that have high economic value. The lecture and question and answer method werechosen to provide an explanation of how to make syrup, process betel nuts and process cassava. This practice method is given to the trainees to provide opportunities to practice the trainingmaterial obtained. Evaluation of activities is carried out during the process and at the end ofthe training, on aspects of achieving training objectives and also organizing training. Theresults of empowerment can be seen that the enthusiasm of the community is very high duringthe empowerment takes place
The abundance of garden products in the form of rubber in the District of Sumpur Kudus is a localpotential that needs to be processed to prevent price reductions and maintain the quality of thematerial. Rubber seeds have a high protein content so that it has the potential to be used as a foodraw material. The purpose of this empowerment is to provide information and training on how toprocess rubber waste into biokerosin and traditional coconut oil. The first material was presented onhow to make kerosene from rubber seeds followed by a workshop on making cooking oil from rubberseeds. Making biokerosin is done by using a tool designed by the team. The same results in makingthe first and second products are not too many because the rubber seeds processed in thisempowerment are not too many. From the results of the evaluation during the empowermentcommunity enthusiasm was seen. Empowerment that has been done has shown that rubber seedswhich were originally only waste material from rubber trees turned out to be an alternative product inthe form of cooking oil and biokerosin
economy to the community is an activity that can be done in order to increase public knowledge. Theabundance of bamboo plants in Nagari Kumanis is one of the local potentials that can be used to beprocessed into more useful goods. The purpose of this empowerment is to train the community inprocessing bamboo into high-value crafts so that it is expected to be a new source of economicincome for the community. Participants of this activity are the people of Nagari Kumanis, SumpurKudus District, Sijunjung Regency, a maximum of 20 (twenty) people. There are also stages in thisempowerment are as follows: Stages of preparation that is preparing training materials, which include:papers and modules for activities. Implementation stages are carried out as follows: Techniques todetermine the type of bamboo that can be used for crafts, Techniques for pre-treatment bamboobefore being processed into handicrafts, Techniques for making bamboo into handicrafts (ships andpen holders). The results of the evaluation of empowerment activities can be seen in the aspect ofachieving the training objectives and also the organization of the training. The results of thisempowerment are the enthusiasm of the community during the empowerment took place as well asthe existence of bamboo crafts, which can be utilized by the community itself and to improve thecreative economy.
