The spread of barium sulfate through the organs various of a woman who died during a protracted state of shock following the installation of an opaque medium was investigated by morphologicM and chemical methods. The opaque medium was seen diffusely through most of the brain, heart, spleen, liver, lungs and the capillary bed of the kidneys, chiefly attached to maerophages. There were no eytotoxie, anaphylaetie or anaphylaetoid reactions. The pathological effects are due more to the purely mechanical, embolic properties of the compound BaSO 4.
Zusammen/assung.
The in-vivo tolerability of an in vitro in cow, calf and sheep hearts developed method for radiologic visualization of the left ventricular conduction system is tested in four animal experiments. The clinical in-vivo tolerability could be demonstrated on principle; however, it is to accent that hypertonic X-ray contrast dyes may be the cause of morphological changes in the micro- and ultrastructures of the specialised musculature of unknown dignity.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
