Teil 11: Bildung von Sulfiden Vorbemerkung : Die vorliegende Arbeit (Teil 11) ist das wissenschaftliche Ergebnis einer Forschungsaufgabe zum Problem der Hochtemperaturkorrosion an Gasturbinenschaufeln, die von der Forschungsvereinigung Verbrennungskraflmaschinen e. V. gestellt und im Anorganisch-chemischen Institut der Westfalischen Wilhelms-Universitat unter Leitung von Professor Dr. P. Umland durchgefiihrt wurde. In einem Teil I wurde uber die ,>Korrosion unter Bildung und Mitwirkung von Schwermetallsylfaten" in dieser Zeitschrifl (21. Jahrgang, Hefl 4/1970, S. 254-263) berichtet. Es folgt no& Teil 111 ,,Modellversuche zur Sulfidbildung unter LuftausschluB". Die Aufgabe wurde dur& das Bundeswirtschaftsministerium uber die Arbeitsgemeinschafl Industrieller Forschungsvereinigungen e. V. (AIF-Nr. 1524) finanziell gefordert. Die Forsmungsvereinigung Verbrennungskraftmaschinen e. V. dankt dem Ministerium fur die wertvolle Unterstutzung und Herrn Professor Dr. Umland sowie seinen wissenschafllichen Mitarbeitern fur die Durchfuhrung der Arbeit. Ein Arbeitskreis der Forschungsvereinigung Verbrennungskraflmaschinen e. V., der unter Leitung yon Herrn Dr. Moller, BBC Mannheim, stand, betreute diese Forschungsarbeit. Auch diesem Kreis sei fur seine Bemuhungen gedankt.
Die mit verschiedenen Metallen ( Ni, Cr, Co, Ti, NiCr 80 20, NiCrTi 75 20 2,5) in geschmolzenem Natriumsulfat in Argonatmosphäre bei 900 °C durchgeführten Versuche zeigen die ausschlaggebende Rolle des Sauerstoffpartialdrucks an der Grenzfläche Metall/Zunder. Nickelsulfid entsteht nur bei sehr niedrigen Sauerstoffpartialdrucken. Um die Bildung von Nickelsulfiden — insbesondere des äußerst gefährlichen Ni3S2 — zu verhindern, muß man darauf achten, daß der Sauerstoffpartialdruck an der Grenzfläche verhältnismäßig hoch bleibt; diese Bedingung wird erfüllt, wenn die Sulfatschicht auf dem Metall verhältnismäßig dünn ist oder wenn man diese Schicht durch Zusatz indifferenter Stoffe etwas auflockert.
