A number of novel structurally related diglycolamides compounds were synthesized by a modified efficient method. These compounds were applied to the extraction of selected actinides, lanthanides, and alkaline earth metals from nitric acid solutions using benzene as diluent. The extraction of nitric acid was also studied. The dependence of the extraction distribution ratio, D M, on the length of alkyl chain of the extractants as well as the type of diluents was investigated. The extraction of selected lanthanides, actinides, and divalent metal ions by TODGA and THDGA from nitric acid medium was studied in details. D M of the investigated metal ions has been studied as a function of aqueous HNO 3 concentrations, diglycolamides concentration, and temperature.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
