In this paper a novel approach to millimeter wave antennas design is introduced. A Repeated Kernel Array of Microstrip ]!atches (ReKAMP) is used to achieve such a wide bandwidth. The concept of repeated kernel geometry is first illustrated. Simulation of several microstrip antennas based on this concept is demonstrated. All simulations are performed based on a full wave finite difference time domain simulator from Zeland company Fidelity'. Simulations show that the new approach is capable of designing ultrawideband millimeter wave antennas that can be useful for a multitude of millimeter wave applications.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
