The characteristics of new high gain multiband rounded corners dashed rectangular spiral microstrip patch antenna has been analyzed using a full wave analysis simulator. The antenna performance is sensitive to the cutting angles, which has been used to control the antenna gains up to 32.8 dB in some cases and bandwidths up to 20.1 % in other cases. The proposed antenna is constructed on glass-epoxy FR-4 substrate of thickness 1.6 mm and relative permittivity 4.6 The radiation characteristics for the designed antenna such as return loss, radiation pattern and gain with respect to changes on the cutting angle are obtained using numerical simulations.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
