Kulcsszavak: integrált városfejlesztési stratégia (IVS) Lipcsei Charta baukultur közösségi részvétel irányítás (governance)ARendkívül gyorsan peregtek tehát az események, pedig a Lipcsei Charta nem apró technikai változtatásokat javasolt, hanem egy alapjaiban új szellemiség ű városfej-lesztési gondolkodást kívánt elindítani az integrált városfejlesztési stratégia (IVS) megfogalmazásával. Ennek lényege a gazdasági, társadalmi és környezeti problé-mák együttes kezelése, a különböz ő területi és időbeli szintek (az akcióterületek, városrészek és a város egészének, valamint a város régiójával való kapcsolatának, illetve múltjának, jelenének és a jöv őjének) összekapcsolása, a lakosság és a helyi szereplők bevonása a tervezés folyamatába, valamint a többcsatomás finanszírozás Tér és Társadalom 23. évf. 2009/3. 1-12. p.
Ez a cikk elsősorban azzal a céllal íródott, hogy felkeltse a területi kutatók figyelmét egy fontos, ezidáig alig vizsgált témára: a vállalati tulajdonviszonyok változásainak térbeli vonatkozásaira. E tanulmány a nagyvállalatokkal (mint a működő tőke legkoncentráltabb egységeivel) és azok térbeli elhelyezkedésével foglalkozik.
A szakmai közvélemény úgy tartja számon a csabai csoportot, mint amelynek munkatársai szoros kapcsolatot tartanak fenn a külföldi ("nyugati") tudományossággal. Az ottani tapasztalatok fényében hogyan ítélitek meg a magyar területi tudományok (regionális tudomány, társadalomföldrajz) helyzetét?Az ilyen értékelések szubjektivitását, így a mi csoportunkét is, erősen meghatározza, hogy kikkel és milyen kontextusban építettük a viszonyítási alapul szolgáló kapcsolatainkat. Az a tapasztalat, amit a tudományos eredmények nemzetközi közvetítésének világában szereztünk -legyen az önálló, hazai vagy kül-földi (esetünkben amerikai és angol) kollégákkal nemzetközi folyóiratokban, könyvekben való publikálás, lektorálás, szerkesztőbizottsági vitákban való rész-vétel, s különösen az European Urban and Regional Studies folyóirat többéves szerkesztői gyakorlata -, sajnos nem ad okot az elégedettségre. A hivatkozások-kal intézményesen is mért folyóiratokban a magyar "jelenlét" bizony alig érez-hető. Fontos persze, hogy magát a "nyugati" tudományosságot is differenciáltan kezeljük. Szakmá(i)nk igazán jó, neves nemzetközi folyóiratai ugyanis alapvető-en angol-amerikai szerkesztésűek, irányításúak, tulajdonúak és terjesztésűek, s ezekbe a magyar geográfusok, regionális tudományi szakemberek mellett más kelet-közép-európaiak, de például a dél-európaiak kéziratai is meglehetősen nehezen kapnak "bebocsátást". Spanyol vagy olasz kollégákkal beszélgetve kiderült, nekik hozzánk hasonlóan nehéz túllépni azon a nagy múltú tradíción, ami saját nemzeti tudományukban a leíró, empirikus (vagy épp "önmagáért való" kvantitatív) elemzéseket preferálja. Hiányzik a társadalomelméleti felvértezett-ség, az a nyelvezet, ami nem unalmas ismétléssé teszi az empirikus eredmények bemutatását, hanem megadja a közös gondolkodás kereteit. Mindezen túl azonban tőlünk független tényezőkkel, így az elmúlt évtizedben egyre erősebben (például a mi meghívásunkkal is szervezett nemzetközi konferenciavitákban, tematikus folyóiratszámokban) bírált angol-amerikai hegemóniával is meg kell küzdenünk. Nemcsak az elméleti diskurzusok irányításától van távol Magyarország, de úgy tűnik, azokba a vitákba, amelyek például a globalizációról vagy a posztkolonializmus területiségéről szóltak, sem "mi", itt élők kapcsoltuk be a kelet-közép-európai tapasztalatokat, s bíráltuk a "nyugati" nézőpontok egyoldalúságát, hanem főleg angol-amerikai vagy a régiónkból már elvándorolt kutatók.
