ABSTRACTIn this paper we discuss a methodology for the resolution of quadratic equations with geometric bias, through the Descartes Method and the Tangent Semicircunference Method. These models deal with the location of zeros of quadratic equations through elements of Flat Geometry. In addition, we present a proposal of Didactic Engineering, as teaching methodology, whose main objective is to favor the Basic Mathematics teacher, helping in the diversification of classes, showing the link between Algebra and Geometry. The description of the stages of Didactic Engineering intends to explore the investigative aspects in the student allowing the mathematical experimentation through teaching didactic situations, including using technological resources using GeoGebra software.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
