Esse trabalho teve como objetivo apresentar um panorama geral referente à certificação de produtos orgânicos no Brasil a partir da análise do Cadastro Nacional de Produtores Orgânicos. A análise foi realizada a partir da sistematização de informações do Cadastro Nacional de Produtores Orgânicos levantadas junto à página do Ministério da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento, com posterior discussão dos resultados com base em referências obtidas por meio de revisão de literatura acerca do tema estudado. Verificou-se que o sistema de certificação por auditoria apresentou o maior número de produtores certificados no Brasil, sendo identificada uma maior concentração de produtores certificados nos estados do Nordeste e Sudeste. A região Sul do país apresentou o maior número de produtores certificados de forma participativa e a região Nordeste congregou a maior parte dos produtores credenciados à Organizações de Controle Social para a venda direta de produtos orgânicos. O Cadastro Nacional de Produtores Orgânicos é uma importante ferramenta para a obtenção de informações referentes ao panorama nacional referente a produção orgânica.
A presente pesquisa avaliou o perfil profissional e as atribuições do Técnico em Zootecnia (TZ) frente ao Técnico em Agropecuária (TA) e ao Zootecnista. Para desenvolvê-la, foram consultadas as legislações pertinentes e bibliografias pedagógicas dos cursos. Os resultados mostram que a atividade do TZ e do TA são correlacionadas, em que a atuação do TZ ocorre para a produção animal e a do TA para a produção animal e vegetal. Entre os cursos de TZ e o Bacharel em Zootecnia, o curso de graduação tem longa duração e conteúdos aprofundados, já o técnico possui durabilidade menor e conteúdo mais superficial. Conclui-se que as legislações que tratam dessas profissões no Brasil causam concomitância de atribuições entre os profissionais, dessa forma, o próprio mercado selecionará o profissional baseado na qualidade do serviço.

A agricultura familiar no Brasil é responsável por parte considerável da produção de alimentos com foco no autoconsumo e posterior comercialização do excedente. O Serviço de Assistência Técnica e Extensão Rural (ATER) é responsável pelas orientações da produção agrícola desde o plantio até a comercialização. Este artigo analisa as ações da EMATER-PB na organização da produção para comercialização junto aos agricultores entre 2013-2016. A ação da extensão rural foi determinante nos bons resultados alcançados pela Feira da Agricultores Familiar de Serraria-PB, todavia no Programa de Aquisição de Alimentos (PAA) não houve avanços motivado pela baixa produção agrícola dos últimos anos e pelas dificuldades da gestão central na operacionalização do programa.
