Resumo: Com o presente artigo, pretende-se investigar a compreensão de Nietzsche acerca da arquitetura, a partir de uma análise da formulação: “a arquitetura é uma espécie de eloquência do poder em formas”, contida no aforismo 11, capítulo IX de Crepúsculo dos ídolos. Dada a relação aí contida, entre aquela arte e a doutrina da vontade de potência, procura-se compreender os termos dessa aproximação - inclusive, aqueles que o distanciam da estética schopenhaueriana - e em que medida reverberariam, para além das diversas manifestações estilísticas a ela pertinentes, em uma possível teoria da arquitetura como potência de ocupação.
Este artigo visa a matizar alguns aspectos relativos às noções de cinismo ehipocrisia que habitam a esfera da ética, buscando elementos para uma análise do cenário político contemporâneo, marcado, dentre outros aspectos, por um recrudescimento das pautas conservadoras e pela ascensão dos partidos de direita ultraconservadora. Tal análise sugere uma aproximação entre elementos próprios ao cinismo e as formas políticas de manipulação e engano, confluindo para discursos que, embora se mostrem factualmente inverossímeis, e portanto, diretamente conflitantes com a referência inercialmente constituída pela tradição e comumente denominado verdade, ainda assim, pautam-se pela franqueza no modo de transmissão. A ascensão desse tipo de discurso na política contemporânea enseja um retorno aos gregos no sentido de indicar, por um lado, sua aproximação com as condutas éticas da cólera e da lisonja, e por outro, sua falha estratégica ao perder de vista o momento oportuno em que o cinismo deve ceder lugar à hipocrisia.
No presente artigo, esboço uma problematização acerca do pensamento estético de Schopenhauer, particularmente no que diz respeito à sua análise sobre a arquitetura e a fruição do objeto arquitetônico. Pretendo abrir duas vertentes de análise, relativas a duas inquietações minhas: primeiramente, a compreensão da arquitetura em termos da submissão a relações causais e fins utilitários, deixando entrever, com isso, certa filiação de Schopenhauer aos cânones da arquitetura neoclassicista. Depois, o modo mesmo de fruição do objeto arquitetônico, limitada à contemplação visual, tendo como corolário a distinção, a meu ver, precária, entre a arquitetura e o artefato. A guisa de conclusão, procuro amalgamar tais inquietações levantando a necessidade de uma distinção entre hierarquia e transversalidade no que tange a uma compreensão da leitura estética presente no Livro III de O mundo como vontade e como representação.
Discutimos neste artigo a questão acerca de como as práticas de engano vêm a se tornar um problema à filosofia moral e de como poderiam ser pensadas para além do crivo dessa condenação. Como procuramos defender, uma resposta a esta pergunta remeteria ao pensamento grego, particularmente ao pensamento platônico nos diálogos: Hípias menor e A república, tendo como horizonte o problema da desambiguação da Alêtheia e a exclusão, pelo pensamento filosófico, das formas de inteligência astuciosa que os gregos atribuíam à deusa Mêtis. Por outro lado, implicaria também uma distinção de perspectivas inerente ao que chamamos de engano, que põe em lados opostos o enganador e o enganado, a partir do reconhecimento ou não do engano. Sob esse viés, defendemos que, para os gregos, o problema não estaria no engano propriamente dito – embora o pensamento platônico aponte para isto – mas no ser enganado, e principalmente, autoenganado.
