Women of LTM and STM demonstrated lesser stress than men. Both groups showed cumulative health-related improvement. Moreover, in gender-related analysis woman meditators exhibited more positive improvement in EPI parameters than men.
Introduction.Electrophotonic imaging (EPI), also known as gas discharge visualization, is a technique of capturing images of phenomena not quantifiable by the naked eye. Different sectors at the tip of fingers represent various organs and systems as per the Chinese system of acupuncture. The images from these fingertips can be used to determine the state of health. This is done with the help of a CCD camera fitted in the EPI equipment and the specific software relevant for analysis.Aim.To observe the correlation between EPI parameters and fasting blood sugar (FBS) levels in normal, prediabetic, and diabetic study participants.Materials and Methods.A total of 102 participants were selected for this study from various yoga camps and Arogyadham at Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana Yoga University, Bengaluru, India. The selected participants belonged to 3groups—normal, prediabetic, and diabetic—depending on the FBS levels. The distribution of participants was 29 normal, 13 prediabetic, and 60 diabetic.Results.Regression analysis in the case of prediabetics showed a significant relationship of FBS with pancreas and right kidney. In the case of normal participants, a significant relationship of FBS was found with area and form coefficient of the EPI gram. For diabetics, regression analysis showed significant relationship of FBS with immune organs, left kidney, area, intensity, and entropy of EPI grams.Conclusion.FBS correlates differently in the normal, prediabetic, and diabetic groups. In the prediabetic group, correlation of FBS with EPI parameters pancreas and right kidney is noteworthy and in line with latest findings in medical research.

In this context, the importance of life skills in the field of education is being explained today. Life skills education provides the person with the skills to face the conflicts that come in life. This creates the foundation of a cultured society that is prudent. Even scholars in modern times admit that although the current education system is familiar with these life skills principles, most of these have been developed by Western countries. While there is a comprehensive description of life skills pervading in ancient Indian scriptures. The theoretical perspective of those aspects are compiled and presented here with examples related to life skills described in the Ramcharitmanas. The current attempts may serve as a guide for moral, spiritual and social advancement in education needed in current learning system. Theoretical presentation may be contributory to the current battery of knowledge in the areas of life skill exploration in the contexts of ancient scriptures.

Overweight and obesity are the accumulation of high body adiposity, which can have detrimental health effects and contribute to the developments of numerous non communicable diseases.
Aim
To study the psycho-physiological changes after the practice of forced right nostril breathing and selected yogasanas on obese college students.
Methods
To carry out this study, 32 female subjects aged 18–25 years of age were recruited with informed consent from Priyanka degree college, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The design was a single group pre-post. Height and weight were recorded and the body mass index (BMI) was calculated using standard procedures and equation. The students were given the practice of forced right nostril breathing for 10 min daily four times a day and some selected yogasanas. The assessments were taken before start of intervention and at the last day after 30 days. The intervention was for 6 days per week which consists of forced right nostril breathing and some selected asanas.
Conclusions
The study exhibited that forced right nostril breathing and selected yogasanas reduces the physiological risk factors. These yogic practices are effective to overcome complications arise due to obesity and are helpful to induce positive psychological changes in obese individual.
