“…The increased activity in the posterior cingulate gyrus was likely because the participants reached a meditative level of compassion with joys and happiness. [ 21 ] The posterior cingulate gyrus is known to be activated during happiness. [ 22 ] Moreover, Brodmann area 9 (superior frontal gyrus) and the posterior cingulate gyrus can play a very crucial role in memory function during the Anapanasati meditation.…”

“…In addition to access stress score with a combination of questionnaires or scales in most yoga experiments, we observed Electro Photonic Imaging (EPI) is another direct and efficacious instrument to evaluate the stress level (26) . Several studies have demonstrated that EPI technology measures the level of stress in yoga practice (27)(28)(29) . Hence, in the current study, aimed to evaluate the stress level using Bio-Well device, and tested the hypothesis that practice of Yama and Niyama may have potential effects in prevention of stress-induced psychological disorders among college students.…”

“…[22][23][24][25][26] The parameters of EPI showed high functional energy reserve in meditators which reflect better psycho-physiological levels following anapanasati meditation. 27 There have been very few studies in capturing EPI parameters related to autism. The study of these parameters could pave way for coming up with a yogic exercise that could facilitate in improving any of those parameters to bring about a positive change in autistic children for their cognitive development.…”
