This study examines how an occupational commitment and a fun work environment serve as important mechanisms that influence the job demands–turnover intentions relationship. On the basis of the job demands–resources model, the study explored the relationship between job demands, occupational commitment, fun at work, and turnover intention. The hypotheses were (1) that job demands would be positively associated with predicted turnover intention; (2) that occupational commitment would mediate the job demands–turnover intention link and (3) that a fun environment would moderate the relationship between job demands and occupational commitment and between job demands and turnover intention. The study sampled 294 seafarers using an online survey, and applied descriptive, correlative analysis and the PROCESS Macro to test the hypotheses. Findings provide preliminary support for the three hypotheses, and contribute to a better understanding of the mechanism determining seafarers’ turnover intention. The results suggest the importance of holding appropriate group activities on-board to help seafarers alleviate fatigue and stress.

The Western Junggar terrain is located in the central section of the CAOB(Central Asian Orogenic belt). It consists of mainly of Palaeozoic island arc and back-arc basin rocks, which were accreted onto the Kazakhstan plate as the Tarim, Kazakhstan and Siberian plates converged rocks (Xiao et al., 2008;Shen et al., 2010). The regional structure is characterized by faults that display dominant northeast trends including the Barluk, Mayile, and Darbut faults (Huang TK, 1978；Chen et al., 2006； He et al., 2007, which are the most important geological belts because of the intense magmatism and associated mineralization (Shen et al., 2010).Suyunhe porphyry Mo deposit in the western part of Barluk Mountain in Xinjiang, located SW 96 km of Yumin Country, belongs to Burluk metallogenic belt. It consists of three granitic bodies, and ore-bearing rocks are mainly monzonitic granite porphyries and monzonitic granites. Wall-rock alteration is characterized of the potassic alteration and the quartz-sericite alteration. Molybdenum mineralization occurs mainly in country rocks with some mineralization also occurring in granite porphyry rocks.the hydrothermal ore-forming process can be divided into three stages, (1)the early stage characterized by quartz-K-feldspar veinlets, quartz-K-feldspar-(pyrite)molybdenum veinlets, K-feldspar veinlets and ore-barren quartz veinlets, (2) the middle stage characterized by quartz-molybdenite veinlets, quartz-molybdenite-pyrite veinlets and quartz-pyrite veinlets, and (3) the late stage characterized by quartz-carbonate veinlets, quartz-pyrite veinlets and ore-barren quartz veinlets.
