Die aus den Benzaldehyden (I) durch Umsetzung mit Anilinen (II) und Kaliumcyanid hergestellten AryI‐arylaminoacetonitriIe (III) werden mit " Permanganat zu Aryliminoderivaten (IV) dehydriert.
Arylisothiocyanate setzen sich in absolutem Äthanol mit Natriumacetylaceton zu N,N′‐aryl‐subsituierten Dithiomalonsäurediamiden um. Als Nebenprodukt entstehen N‐Aryl‐thiocarbamidsäureäthylester.
Ausgehend vom Cyanessigsaure-athylester wurden uber die Stufe der Imidsaureester-hydrochloride 1 a-f die Monothionmalonsaureester 2a-f dargestellt. Die Thionmalonsaureester unterliegen ebenso wie methylenaktive Thioamide einer Thion-Enthiol-Tautomerie. Sie werden in Gegenwart von Natriumalkoholat bevorzugt a m Schwefel alkyliert. Ihre Methylenaktivitat I l l 3 sich durch Michael-Addition und Knoevenagel-Kondensation nachweisen.Im Unterschied zu den Monothiocarbonsauren, in denen die Thiolform domi-niertW), lassen sich in ihren Derivaten Thion-und Thiolform fixiereo, so dab Thioncarbonsaureamide 4-7), Thionsaureanhydride 8) und Thioncarbonsaureester 4,9-15) eine Untersuchung der Reaktivitat der Thiocarbonylgruppe im Vergleich zu den analogen Sauerstoffverbindungen erlauben.Uns interessierte im Zusammenhang mit unseren Untersuchungen an CH-aciden Thioamiden 7,16-18) das reaktive Verhalten weiterer Mono-und Dithio-P-dicarbonylverbindungen, wie sie z. Sie cyclisieren rnit Chloressigsaureester in Gegenwart von Alkoholat zu Thiophenen (4), mit Hydrazinhydrat zu 3.5-Bis-arylaminopyrazolen (6).Thioamide zeigen bei der Umsetzung rnit nucleophilen Reagentien eine groI3ere Reaktionsbereitschaft als Amide 2). Wir erwarteten deshalb fur das reaktive Verhalten der aus Natrium-acetylaceton und Arylisothiocyanaten leicht zuganglichen3.4) N . N -Diaryl-dithiomalonsaure-diamide Ahnlichkeit rnit @-Diketonen.Dithiomalonsaure-dianilid (1 a) reagiert rnit Alkylierungsmitteln in Gegenwart von Alkoholat, wie andere Thioamides), aus der Thiol-Form heraus unter S-Alkylierung. Wir erhielten so z. B. 2a mit Athyljodid in 81-proz. Ausbeute. C-Alkylierungsprodukte beobachteten wir nicht. Fur 2 kann auch eine Keten-S.N-acetal-Struktur ( 2 ) angenommen werden.DenNachweis der S-Alkylierung fiihrten wir durch Abbau von 2a bzw. b rnit verd. Salzsaure zum k h y l -bzw. Benzylmercaptan, die als Quecksilbermercaptide identifiziert wurden.Setzt man als Alkylierungsmittel Chloressigsaureathylester ein, so entstehen durch nachfolgende Kondensation an der aktiven Methylengruppe der nicht isolierten Zwischenstufe 3 die Thioghen-Derivate 4. 4a erhielten wir auch aus l a und Bromessigsauremethylester.Analoge Cyclisierungen von Thioamidens) und Ketenmercaptalens) sind bekannt.
