El presente trabajo se enmarca en una labor de investigación metodológica denominada LANBIOEVA (Landscape Biogeographic Evaluation) con una trayectoria de más de 25 años y del que, de momento, es su último eslabón. Se trata de un método global de valoración paisajística centrado en la vegetación como elemento principal de las distintas unidades evaluadas. Hasta la fecha, dicho método se ha plasmado en numerosos trabajos: libros, artículos, capítulos de libro, comunicaciones y ponencias, conferencias etc, referentes a diferentes territorios templados y boreales de Europa y América. Se aplica ahora a la comarca de Collsacabra (Girona) con el objetivo de constatar su eficacia y viabilidad en otros ámbitos a los anteriormente reseñados. De las diferentes formaciones estudiadas las que mejores valoraciones globales obtienen son el hayedo con boj, los pastos mesófilos y el bosque mixto robledal-encinar. Los paisajes de bosque se imponen a los de matorral mientras que los pastos, debido a los altos valores del factor de amenaza también hacen que éstos registren puntuaciones elevadas.

Horietako bat, Arabako Foru Aldundiarekin sinatutako hitzarmenaren babesean, ‘paisaiaren katalogoak’ deritzenak lantzeko metodologia-aukerak miatzera, eta Arabako Lautadako katalogoa egitera bideratutadago. Bigarrena, berriz, “Euskal Autonomia Erkidegoko natura-balio handiko nekazaritza-espazioen balorazio paisajistikoa, ingurumenekoa eta sozioekonomikoa. (GIU10/07)” izenekoa da. Hirugarrenak, parte hartze prozesuei baita gobernanza-delakoari buruzko eskarmentuak jasotzen ditu (GOBEFTERCSO2012-3696). Hiruretan, helburua da paisaia babesteko, kudeatzeko eta antolatzeko, eta lurraldepolitika garatzeko tresnak lantzeko informazio baliagarria lortzea eta lantzea, bereziki ekonomia-, gizarte-, ingurumen- eta lurralde-eraldaketa sakona pairatzen ari diren nekazaritza-eremuetarako. Arabako Lautadaren azterlanean, paisaia baloratzeko metodologia integrala eta adostua erabili da, herritarren partaidetza-mekanismoen bitartez.
