Abstract Introduction:Peripheral nerve sheath tumor is a rare neoplasm with an even more malignant, rare, and aggressive form. It corresponds to 5-10% of all sarcomas with a frequency of 0.001% in the general population. The retroperitoneal form is uncommon. It has an incidence of only 1-10% of all retroperitoneal tumors, and there are a few cases reported in the literature. Case Report: The objective of this study is to report, together with a review of the current literature, a rare case of a female patient with a retroperitoneal malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor with no-risk factors, who underwent surgical resection of the tumor mass. Conclusion: With this case report, one can achieve a better characterization of the signs and symptoms of this disease for medical knowledge. The result provides a higher degree of suspicion for diagnosis. Thus, it enables early diagnosis and increased survival of patients.Descriptors: Neurilemoma; Sarcoma; Neurofibromatosis 1.
