Purpose of the study: The paper discusses the impact of digital education on the health and well-being of students who have been taking online classes since the onset of COVID-19. The paper also investigates the authenticity of the media reports that have been reporting about the decline in students' health due to the extensive presence of screen time. Methodology: The study is primarily descriptive research with a qualitative and quantitative investigation of the narratives related to health issues such as impaired cognitive functions, eye problems, orthopaedic disorders, insomnia, depression, and anxiety. Google form as an online survey tool is used to collect data later compared with the media reports to conclude. Main Findings: The findings conclude that students' responses corroborate with the narratives of emergent pathological culture reported by news agencies like The Times of India and The Hindu. Application of the study: The present study will help sensitise the stakeholders of the society about the detrimental impact of online classes that might create ground for adopting immediate corrective measures for protecting the future of our nation. Novelty/ Originality of the study: The study's novelty lies in its approach to offer a comparative study of the media reports and the students' responses to cognize the severity of the evolving health issues amidst the pandemic.
Community structure is believed to be one of the notable features of complex networks representing real complicated systems. Very often, uncovering community structures in networks can be regarded as an optimization problem, thus, many evolutionary algorithms based approaches have been put forward.. In this paper Central Force Optimization (CFO), physics based optimization, and its variants are used to detect communities. CFO is deterministic in nature, unlike the most widely used meta-heuristics. However, CFO is not free from the problem of premature convergence. Therefore the variants used Adaptive CFO (ACFO) and Multi-Start CFO (MCFO) are used in enhancing the convergence.
A normal phase high-performance thin-layer chromatographic method was developed and validated for simultaneous estimation of Artesunate and Amodiaquine HCL in bulk and pharmaceutical formulations. Chromatographic separation was achieved using precoated silica gel aluminum plate G60 F254 and a mixture of acetonitrile/water/ammonia (30%) (8:1.4:0.4, v/v/v) as mobile phase. Quantitative analysis of Artesunate and Amodiaquine HCL was carried out using Camag TLC Scanner 3. The method was linear between 100 and 600 ng/spot for Artesunate, and 50 and 300 ng/spot for Amodiaquine HCL. The detection limit for Artesunate and Amodiaquine was found to be 25 and 12.5 ng/spot, respectively, whereas quantitation limit was 60 ng/spot for Artesunate and 30 ng/spot for Amodiaquine HCL. The method demonstrated good and consistent recoveries (98.07-99.88% for Artesunate and 99.28-100.94% for Amodiaquine HCL) with low inter-day and intra-day relative standard deviation. The validated method was applied successfully to quantify Artesunate and Amodiaquine HCL simultaneously in pharmaceutical formulations. The method was found to be precise, sensitive, and accurate for the simultaneous determination Artesunate and Amodiaquine HCL in bulk and pharmaceutical formulations.
This is the time when the whole world is facing a crisis like never before, which has taken the form of a pandemic called the Coronavirus outbreak. The situation is way bigger and tense than it seems. The outbreak of COVID-19 has exposed both the developed and developing nations of the world with an evolving challenge like never before. All the developed nations are witnessing unprecedented collapse of their public healthcare systems and institutions, weak enforcement of laws to prevent the spread of infection and unimpressive crowd management techniques. We can hear health officials calling for huge drastic & rapid responses in early days when the infected number of people were relatively small. Some people are telling that we are overreacting but that is not true. It was never really fine to begin in such a fashion but if we don't notice the seriousness of this crisis it will be very late. The following research is based on insights & comparisons between India and United States and the reason for choosing the strong & powerful nations are as follows:• India is still counted as a developing nation whereas, USA is the most developed country in the world. • The healthcare facilities in USA are way advance as compared to India yet the number of cases there were extremely high. • India and USA also have a huge difference when it comes to the population and yet the number of cases each day is quite low in India. The number of recovery cases are also higher in India. So, the question is What went wrong? Why is India in a better place in comparison to the world's super power USA in this pandemic?
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
