Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is a problem-oriented as well as student-centered teaching method which has been widely used in higher medical education in Europe and America. This paper analyzed the necessity, process, advantages, problems and solutions in the course of PBL implementation in health statistics teaching and drew the conclusion that PBL was conducive to cultivate students' learning ability, creativity and practical ability.
To improve teaching effectiveness of the targeted medical statistics of degree graduate students, by optimizing the teaching content, using case discussions and interactive teaching methods actively, enhancing the practicality of assessment content and methods, and etc, improve the quality of teaching comprehensively, focus on training students' analytical and solving practical problems capacity, to achieve the purpose of training practical talents. Provide a reference to medical statistics' teaching for degree graduate students' applications for the equivalent of Master's.
