En este estudio se diseña, valida y aplica un instrumento de análisis de necesidades para implementar mejoras en la enseñanza–aprendizaje de español como lengua extranjera entre adultos haitianos en Chile. Su aporte consiste en la conformación de un set de ítems que exploran las necesidades, intereses y estilos de aprendizaje de la mencionada comunidad de aprendientes. El instrumento contempla siete dimensiones que permiten indagar sobre el conocimiento de la lengua meta, la valoración del español, las características del profesor ideal de ELE, la organización y el ambiente de la clase, los estilos de aprendizaje, la evaluación y la motivación para estudiar español entre los haitianos. Aplicado el análisis de necesidades a un grupo de 113 aprendientes, validamos el instrumento en cuanto a su consistencia interna, para que pueda ser aplicado a posteriores grupos de aprendientes haitianos que reciben clases de ELE en Chile. Finalmente, resumimos los resultados del análisis de los 113 informantes, aportando sugerencias didácticas de acuerdo a los datos aportados por nuestro instrumento.
RESUMEN Este artículo examina factores relevantes para profesores de Lengua y Literatura en la evaluación de la escritura de sus estudiantes no hispanohablantes. La fundamentación teórica de este estudio se relaciona con la evaluación como herramienta de aprendizaje, los principios para una evaluación efectiva y la evaluación de la escritura en lengua extranjera. Se trata de un estudio de caso en que se entrevistaron dos profesoras de enseñanza secundaria, para comprender qué factores inciden en la evaluación de la escritura de sus estudiantes haitianos. Estas entrevistas fueron transliteradas y sometidas a un análisis de contenido, del cual emergieron categorías temáticas que se agruparon como factores relevantes para la evaluación de la producción escrita. Estos factores fueron analizados a la luz de la literatura sobre evaluación y se analizaron en el contexto de educación chileno. Los resultados apuntan a observar las estrategias que intuitivamente usan los profesores para evaluar los textos escritos de sus estudiantes no hispanohablantes y a la necesidad de integrar a las aulas multiculturales profesores especialistas en educación multilingüe, que puedan favorecer la evaluación para el aprendizaje.
Resumen: Esta investigación se enmarca en los estudios de adquisición de segundas lenguas y explora cuál es la disponibilidad léxica escrita de los hablantes extranjeros que estudian español como segunda lengua (EL2) al inicio de su aprendizaje en inmersión en Santiago de Chile. Consideramos cuantitativamente el factor sociolingüístico (sexo), y descriptivamente, un factor lingüístico (lengua materna de los aprendientes) y un factor cognitivo (nivel de L2). Para cumplir este objetivo se identificó el léxico disponible en un corpus escrito, se cuantificó y se relacionó su disponibilidad con la variable externa sexo; se examinó la incidencia de la lengua materna de los aprendientes y se determinó la influencia del nivel de lengua en el manejo del léxico disponible. Para relacionar el léxico con el nivel de lengua nos remitimos a dos nociones del inventario léxico del Plan Curricular del Instituto Cervantes. Los resultados muestran la necesidad de que los aprendientes de niveles avanzados reestudien los campos semánticos de los niveles intermedios inmediatamente anteriores, pues en su intake cuentan predominantemente con ítems léxicos de los niveles más básicos.Palabras clave: Español como segunda lengua/lengua extranjera -Léxico Disponible -Inmersión -Variables de sexo y nivel de lengua
