Objectives: to evaluate the quality of life of nursing professionals who work in a central sterile processing department. Methods: a descriptive, quantitative, exploratory study, conducted with 82 nursing professionals working in the Central Sterile Processing Department of a University Hospital, from September to November 2017. A semi-structured instrument and the questionnaire “Medical Outcomes Study Short-Form 36” were used. Results: most of the participants were female, married, aged 31-40 years; 47.6% with 6-10 years of profession, and 82.9% reported working in CSPD for 1-5 years. The most affected quality of life domains were Pain, Vitality, General Health Status and Social Aspects. Conclusions: This study showed a need for rethinking and re-creating the labor dynamics in CSPD to improve the quality of life of these nursing professionals.
Objective: to analyze according to the productions found what resources and actions are available to prevent vertical transmission of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Method: integrative review. Raised articles published in the period from 2010 to 2016, in the databases CAPES / MEC, LILACS, SCIELO, Gloogle Acadêmico. Final sample composed of twelve articles. Results: most of the studies were published in 2010, 6 studies corresponding to 50% of publications. The Southeastern region received the highest number of publications, with 6 publications in the southeast, with 3 publications in Rio de Janeiro. An article evaluated all Brazilian regions. Regarding the type of study 58.33% (7) were descriptive 25% (3) Transverse Analytical, 8.3% (1) Analytical of the Cohort type and 8.3% (1) Ecological and Exploratory. Regarding the participants in the studies: (3) pregnant women were published, (2) they studied the mother-child binomial, (2) they studied postpartum women, (2) HIV-infected women, (1) pregnant women and infected children By vertical transmission (1) studied implantation of the project to be born in maternity wards and (1) followed the entire gestation. Método: revisão integrativa. Levantados artigos publicados no período de 2010 a 2016, nas bases de dados CAPES/MEC, LILACS, SCIELO, Gloogle Acadêmico. Amostra final composta por doze artigos. Resultados: a maioria dos estudos foram publicados em 2010, 6 estudos que corresponde a 50% das publicações. A região Sudeste foi a que obteve maior número de publicação, sendo local de 6 publicações, no sudeste destaque para o Rio de Janeiro com 3 publicações. Um artigo avaliou todas as regiões brasileiras. Em relação ao tipo de estudo 58,33% (7) eram descritivos, 25% (3) Analítico Transversal, 8,3% (1) Analítico do tipo Coorte e 8,3% (1) Ecológico e Exploratório. Em relação aos participantes dos estudos: (3) publicações tiveram como público alvo as gestantes, (2) estudaram o binômio mãe-filho, (2) estudaram as puérperas, (2) mulheres infectadas pelo HIV, (1) gestantes e crianças infectadas por transmissão vertical (1) estudou implantação do projeto nascer nas maternidades e (1) acompanhou toda a gestação. Conclusões: foi encontrado vários desafios para que ocorra uma devida adesão as condutas que visem impedir a transmissão vertical. Descritores: HIV. Crianças. Transmissão Vertical.
