improvement of the perceived health status six months after hospital discharge was found. Factors that influenced the patients' return to work were not identified.
Objective: To compare the socioeconomic variables and quality of life scores (QOL) of elderly residents with heart diseases in urban and rural areas.Method: household survey with 829 urban and 220 rural elderlies. The data were collected using: Brazilian Questionnaire for Functional and Multidimensional Assessment, WHOQOL-BREF and WHOQOL-OLD. The collection in the urban area was from June to December of 2008 and, in the rural area, from June 2010 to March 2011. Chi-square, t-student and multiple linear regression (p <0.05) tests were used.Results: The proportion of women and elderlies with 75 years of age and over was higher in urban areas. Lower scores among urban elderlies physical and social relations were observed, and; facets autonomy, past, present and future activities and intimacy; for the rural elderlies, the environment, sensory abilities, death and dying.Conclusion: the urban elderlies showed a lower QOL score in most areas and facets compared to rural elderlies.
RESUMOObjetivo: Identificar a frequência de medicamentos de alta vigilância prescritos e a realização da dupla checagem. Método: Estudo transversal, documental, com abordagem quantitativa, realizado em um hospital público de ensino, do Sudeste do Brasil. Resultados: A amostra foi constituída por 168 prescrições médicas de pacientes internados em unidades de internação adulto. A unidade que apresentou o maior número de medicamentos de alta vigilância prescritos foi o pronto socorro, 30 (83,3%). Os antitrombóticos corresponderam à classe medicamentosa de maior frequência nas prescrições, presentes em 101 (60,1%), seguido das insulinas com 63 (37,5%). A dupla checagem foi realizada com maior frequência nos seguintes medicamentos: antitrombóticos, 22 (21,7%) e sedativos, 6 (27,3%). Conclusão: Espera-se que este trabalho incentive o desenvolvimento de pesquisas acerca de tal tema e o aprimoramento de estratégias com o intuito de incentivar a efetiva implantação da dupla checagem, a qual promoverá um cuidado seguro e de maior qualidade.Descritores: Erros de medicação; Segurança do paciente; Cuidados de enfermagem; Prescrições.
Este estudo teve como objetivo realizar a análise bacteriológica do sabão líquido utilizado durante o processo de higienização das mãos dos profissionais de saúde nas unidades de internação em um Hospital de Ensino do interior de Minas Gerais. Trata-se de uma pesquisa quantitativa, exploratória e transversal. Os dados foram coletados nos meses de julho e agosto de 2014, perfazendo um total de 75 amostras em diferentes unidades do hospital. Após preparo as amostras foram encaminhadas para análise microbiológica investigando o crescimento ou não de microorganismos, assim como a contaminação do produto analisado. Os dados obtidos permitiram concluir que os produtos padronizados nesta instituição possuem a eficácia desejada, além de instigar a realização de demais estudos.
Este é um relato de experiência desenvolvido na unidade de onco-hematologia de um Hospital Público de Ensino, no período de março a outubro do ano de 2016, com o objetivo de relatar a experiência de residentes de enfermagem quanto à implementação do Processo de Enfermagem pelo Aplicativo de Gestão para Hospitais Universitários. Foram identificadas potencialidades quanto à implementação do PE pelo aplicativo, como o alinhamento dos processos de trabalho, otimização dos registros de enfermagem, melhoria da qualidade assistencial e comunicação efetiva na equipe de enfermagem. Dentre os desafios destacam-se: ausência de alguns diagnósticos específicos para clientes onco-hematológicos, limitações ou ausência de algumas prescrições no aplicativo e tempo escasso da equipe. Assim, foram identificadas potencialidades e desafios quanto à implementação do processo informatizado. Conclui-se que o a experiência contribuiu para o julgamento clínico, raciocínio diagnóstico, pensamento crítico e reflexivo do residente de enfermagem.
