Os avanços tecnológicos relacionados com o uso de imagens de satélites permitem o monitoramento da superfície terrestre, como por exemplo, de ações antrópicas e modificações ambientais. Esta ciência de se obter informações sobre um objeto, área ou fenômeno por meio de dados obtidos por aparelhos distantes do alvo, são conhecidas como sensoriamento remoto, e tornam-se atrativas, pois reduzem custos e apresentam maior rapidez na obtenção de informação. Dessa forma, o objetivo deste trabalho foi efetuar uma análise temporal da dinâmica de uso do solo na Estação Experimental de Itatinga –SP, no período de 2013 a 2015,com o uso dos índices de vegetação NDVI e SAVI, por meio do sensor Operational Land Imager (OLI) do satélite Landsat 8. Ao analisar os resultados obtidos, verificou-se poucas alterações antrópicas e, tanto o NDVI quanto o SAVI, apresentaram resultados aproximados da realidade, porém pelo alto adensamento vegetal do local de estudo, o uso do NDVI apresentou-se mais adequado.
