This study aims to determine the effect of learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of the students, knowing the influence of students' self-confidence in the results of learning mathematics. Furthermore, to determine the effect of learning models and students' self-confidence altogether to the result of learning mathematics. The research used is experimental method. The samples used from the affordable population taken from 34 people as the sample of the test instrument, and 68 people as the research sample using proportional random sampling technique from all grade X on SMA Negeri 3 Kabupaten Tangerang. The data were collected by giving the result of learning tests and questionnaires. The data analysis consists of testing the research instrument of validity, reliability, difficulty index, and distinguishing power*. Furthermore, there are the test of requirement analysis through normality and homogeneity test. The hypothesis tested by ANOVA 2 Lanes and Tukey. This study was conducted on February to May, 2017. Based on the results of the hypothesis and data analysis, it is concluded that the following things are: 1) There is an influence between the learning model on the learning outcomes of mathematics. 2) There is an influence between students' self-confidence on mathematics learning outcomes. 3) There is an interaction effect between learning methods and students' self-confidence on mathematics learning outcomes.
This study aims to describe the forms of illocutionary speech acts classification in the lyrics of the song Monochrome album by Muhammad Tulus Rusdi. Illocutionary speech acts have a communicative function between the speaker and the interlocutor, so it is through this speech act that it can be known the message contained in the song lyrics delivered by Muhammad sincerely Rusdi to music lovers. The data source in this study is the song lyrics in the Monochrome Album by Muhammad Tulus Rusdy which consists of 10 songs: Strong Man, Farewell, Space Alone, Soul Swap, Infatuation, Light, Sky Gray, Masterpiece, and Hurry. This research uses a theoretical approach, which is a pragmatic approach. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The technique used in this study is refer to and note. The results of the study showed that there were 96 data included in the action of the ilocuis speech. Illocutionary speech acts include (1) assertive speech acts, namely: notifying, stating, complaining, demanding, and suggesting. (2) directive speech acts, namely: asking, pleading, advising, commanding. (3) declarative speech acts, namely: naming. (4) expressive speech acts, namely praising and thanking. (5) commissive speech acts, namely promises. Keywords: illocution; song lyrics; monochrome; speech act; sincere
Mathematical decision-making ability is a complex cognitive process of finding problems solutions which is continuously explored and optimized for undergraduate students. The current research only focus on categorization on class score average into high, medium and low abilities. As a result, the lecturers do not have any standard categories to classify students’ abilities as a reference in planning supplementary learning that could optimize undergraduate students’ abilities. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine a classification model for undergraduate students' mathematical decision-making abilities that require supplementary learning based on the identification of the shortest distance of a new data from an existing data directory. The research method involved data mining techniques with the KNN classification model through the Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD) process starting from data selection, pre-processing, transformation, data mining and interpretation/evaluation [1]. A total of 100 data were used as research samples which were divided into training data and testing data. Based on the test results, it is obtained that the accuracy of the classification model is 95% for the parameter value k = 15, meaning that each predicted testing data for the classification class is close to the actual condition with the number of neighbors 15 data from the training data.
The purpose of this research was to develop E-Module teaching materials based on the CORE learning model to facilitate students' mathematical communication skills on social arithmetic subjcet. This study uses research and development methods with the ADDIE model. The results of the research were, the E-Module teaching materials based on the CORE learning model are feasible to use with a feasibility level of 91,67% coming from the media expert, 75.76% from the mathematics education expert test and 98.33% from the mathematician test. Student responses in the field test on the completeness aspect of the material were very complete (60%), attractive appearance (53.33%), good color combinations (53.33%), good language easily understood by junior high school students (53.33 %), illustrations can represent social Arithmetic material (63.33%), and E-Modules can help students learn independently (70%).
