A eficiência do sistema de rotação de cultura requer, entre outros tratamentos, a escolha adequada das espécies a serem instaladas. Culturas vegetais podem apresentar compostos aleloquímicos, os quais são liberados por meio de pelos radiculares, sementes, raízes, colmos e folhas, em quantidades variáveis, capazes de interferir nas culturas subsequentes, comprometendo a produção. Assim, este estudo analisou o potencial alelopático de aveia-preta (Avena strigosa Schreb) (AP), nabo forrageiro (Raphanus sativus L.) (NF), ervilhaca (Vicia sativa L.) (ER), azevém (Lolium multiflorum Lam.) (AZ) e consórcio (CO-AP+ER+NF) na germinação de sementes e crescimento de plântulas de soja. O experimento foi em laboratório, com substrato de areia, onde foram cultivadas plantas de cobertura, por 30 dias, mantendo os restos radiculares das plantas com e sem restos de parte aérea. Observou-se redução na emergência de plântulas de soja sob CO, AZ e AP. O índice de velocidade de emergência (IVE), a porcentagem de emergência em areia (EA) e a massa fresca de hipocótilo (MFH) foram afetados negativamente pelas plantas de cobertura. In order to be efficient, the crop rotation system requires, among other factors, an adequate choice of species to be installed. Vegetal cultures can feature allelochemical compounds, released by root hairs, roots, stems and leaves in variable amounts, which are able to interfere on subsequent cultures, as well as cause a delay in their production. Thus, this study analyzed the allelopathic potential of black oat (Avena strigosa Schreb) (BO), forage turnip (Raphanus sativus L.) (FT), vetch (Vicia sativa L.) (V), ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum Lam.) (RG) and consortium (CO-BO+V+FT) on soybean seed germination and plantlet growth. This trial was carried out in a laboratory, with sand substrate, where coverage plants were grown, during 30 days. The remaining root portions of plants were kept with and without the remaining aerial part portions. A reduction was observed on the emergence of soybean plantlets under CO, RG and BO. The emergence speed index (ESI), emergence percentage on sand (ES) and the green mass of hypocotyls (GMH) were negatively affected by coverage plants, and due to this, another study is essential to verify whether there is an indication of the allelopathic effect.

RESUMO -A matéria orgânica (MO), principalmente suas frações, é indicadora da qualidade do solo e, na agricultura, está relacionada ao aporte de material vegetal por meio de cultivos. Neste contexto, a adoção de sistemas de manejo que aumentassem o fornecimento de MO, consequentemente, melhorariam a qualidade do solo. Assim, neste trabalho foram avaliadas alterações nos teores de MO e substâncias húmicas em um LATOSSOLO VERMELHO Eutroférrico, cultivado com plantas de cobertura em rotação com milho e soja. Em 2010, sob sistema de plantio direto, foram implantadas as plantas de cobertura mucuna anã (Mucuna deeringiana), feijão guandu anão (Cajanus cajan) e crotalaria juncea (Crotalaria juncea). Em 2011 foram implantadas as culturas do milho e as plantas de cobertura canola (Brassica napus), crambe (Crambe abyssinica) e nabo forrageiro (Raphanus sativus) e, em sequência, a cultura da soja. O teor de MO e carbono das frações húmicas foram determinados anteriormente à implantação, após o manejo da cobertura vegetal e após a colheita dos cultivos. No ano agrícola 2010/2011, após manejo das plantas de cobertura leguminosas, observaram-se alterações na concentração total de substâncias húmicas do solo. Em 2011/2012 houve incremento no teor de carbono e alteração no teor de ácidos fúlvicos. Dessa forma, as plantas de cobertura proporcionaram mais carbono na fração ácidos fúlvicos que contribui com aspectos de fertilidade do solo (CTC). O manejo com as plantas de cobertura, leguminosas e brassicáceas, e o cultivo de milho e soja aumentaram teor de MOS em um curto período de tempo, sendo o manejo considerado adequado para as condições estudadas. In this context, the adoption of management systems that increase the supply of OM would consequently improve soil quality. In this work therefore, changes in the levels of OM and humic substances were evaluated in a eutroferric Red Latossol, cultivated with cover plants rotated with maize and soybean. In 2010, Mucuna deeringiana, Cajanus cajan and Crotalaria juncea were planted as cover crops under a no-till system. In 2011, the maize was planted together with the cover crops Brassica napus, Crambe abyssinica and Raphanus sativus, followed by the soybean. The levels of OM and carbon in the humic fractions were determined prior to planting, after management of the cover crops, and after the crop harvest. In the 2010/2011 crop year, after management of the leguminous cover crops, changes were seen in the total concentrations of humic substances in the soil. ABSTRACT:The herbicides application can be reduced with alternative methods, as pathogenic fungi use, that produces several secondary compounds in growth medium, which has phytotoxicity. Thus, the aim of this study was to determine the allelopathic activity of culture filtrate produced by pathogenic fungi: Fusarium solani, Macrophomina phaseolina Fusarium graminearum and Diplodia maydis, on germination and development of horseweed (Conyza canadensis), hairy beggarticks (Bidens pilosa) and wild poinsettia (Euphorbia heterophylla). This effect was also tested on soybean and corn crops. The experimental design was completely randomized with twenty treatments (four filtrates of fungi culture, with 0, 5, 10, 15 e 20% concentrations) and four replications. Data were submitted to analysis of variance and regression. The results indicated that filtered of Fusarium solani culture presented a negative effect on horseweed, hairy beggarticks and wild poinsettia without affecting negatively soybeans crop. Diplodia maydis provided some reduction on horseweed and wild poinsettia growth without causing damage to maize crop.The while Macrophomina phaseolina filtrate decreased a seedlings growth of wild poinsettia without affecting negatively corn. This suggests filtrates can be used to control weeds in a sustainable ecological way as well as an alternative to reduce herbicides application, thus, protecting the environment.

O sistema plantio direto é o sistema agrícola mais próximo da sustentabilidade e com menor impacto ambiental. A rotação de culturas, em sua forma correta, inclui a utilização de adubação verde; e as leguminosas são inseridas neste sistema por trazerem uma série de benefícios. Neste contexto, o presente estudo testou plantas leguminosas como cobertura do solo em sistema plantio direto sobre o crescimento, produtividade e qualidade de sementes de milho, visando alternativas que contribuam para a sustentabilidade do agroecossistema e permitam a adoção racional da adubação verde em unidades de produção. O experimento foi realizado em campo, com as espécies leguminosas feijão guandu anão, mucuna anã e estilosantes, semeadas em outubro de 2007 em parcelas de 4x5 m, com cinco repetições. Aos 90 dias após a semeadura as plantas de cobertura foram roçadas e o milho semeado sobre os resíduos 15 dias após o manejo. Foram realizadas avaliações da estatura das plantas durante o desenvolvimento da cultura produtividade de grãos e qualidade fisiológica de sementes. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado e as médias foram comparadas por Scott-Knott a 5% de significância. Aos 60 dias após a semeadura da cultura do milho, os tratamentos com mucuna anã e feijão guandu anão resultaram em maiores alturas de plantas. Nos demais parâmetros analisados os tratamentos não diferiram, demonstrando que estes não interferem sobre a cultura do milho, sendo alternativa para o manejo integrado de espécies na prática de adubação verde de verão e rotação de cultura no sistema plantio direto. The crops rotation, when well managed, includes the use of green manure; and leguminous are included in this system as they bring a number of benefits. This context, the study aimed tested leguminous as cover plants on soil with a no-tillage system regarding the growth, yield and maize seeds quality. This decision-making looks for alternatives that contribute for the agroecosystem sustainability, since they allow rational adoption of green manure in production units. The experiment was carried out in the field with leguminous species dwarf mucuna beans, dwarf pigeon pea and stylosanthes, sown in October 2007, in 4 x 5 m plots, with five replications. ABSTRACT.This study aimed to analyze oxidative stress produced in cucumber seeds and seedlings when exposed to aqueous extract from dried leaves of leucaena, as well as its effect on the germination behavior, early growth and the antioxidant enzymes activity. It was evaluated the percentage, the speed index, the average time, the frequency and germination synchronization, the root length and shoot, as well as the catalase and peroxidase enzymes activity. There was no significant inhibitory effect of the leaf extracts on the germination percentage. However, there was delay in the seeds germination, as the extract proportion increased. A stimulatory effect of the extract compared to the shoot length was observed, however the root growth was significantly reduced. The catalase activities had a peak at 24 hours after soaking the seeds, however, the activities were reduced in seedlings. The peroxidase activity was low in the seeds and increased in the seedlings at 168 hours after immersion. The results suggest that there was oxidative stress due to allelochemicals present in the leaves extracts from leucaena, verified by germination and initial growth changes, causing alterations in the plants rootlets.Keywords: allelopathy, reactive oxygen species, antioxidant enzymes.Enzimas antioxidativas de sementes de Cucumis sativus são moduladas por extratos de Leucaena leucocephala RESUMO. Este trabalho objetivou analisar o estresse oxidativo produzido em sementes e plântulas de pepino quando submetidas a extrato aquoso de folhas secas de leucena bem como, seu efeito sobre o comportamento germinativo, crescimento inicial e atividade de enzimas antioxidantes. Foram avaliadas a porcentagem, índice de velocidade, tempo médio, frequência e sincronização da germinação, comprimento de raiz e parte aérea e atividade das enzimas catalase e peroxidase. Não houve efeito inibitório significativo dos extratos sobre a porcentagem de germinação. No entanto, houve atraso na germinação das sementes, à medida que se aumentou a proporção do extrato. Foi observado efeito estimulatório do extrato em relação ao comprimento da parte aérea, porém o crescimento da raiz foi reduzido significativamente. As atividades da catalase tiveram pico às 24 horas de embebição das sementes, tendo sido reduzido nas plântulas. No entanto, a atividade da peroxidase foi baixa nas sementes e teve aumento nas plântulas, às 168 horas após a embebição. Os resultados sugerem que houve estresse oxidativo devido aos aleloquímicos presentes nos extratos foliares de leucena, verificado pelas alterações na germinação e de crescimento inicial, o que causou alterações nas radículas das plântulas.Palavras-chave: alelopatia, espécies reativas de oxigênio, enzimas antioxidantes.

This study analyzed possible interferences associated to the amount of crop residues produced by the black oats and the consortium of black oats, common vetch and forage turnip on weeds incidence and soil seed bank. It was a field trial with seven treatments and five replications. The cover crop was sown at throwing, cut at 100 days and residues were put on each respective plot, using a proportion of normal amount of produced straw, either its half and double.The heaviest weights were obtained from cover crop consortium and their application decreased weeds incidence in such area. The seeds bank and other analyzed parameters did not show statistical differences. According to these results, it was concluded that winter cover crop could be used in crops rotation with soybean.

RESUMODentre as principais espécies invasoras que infestam as lavouras de soja do sul do Brasil e causam uma série de problemas nas áreas agrícolas, destacase a corda-de-viola [Ipomoea grandifolia (Dammer O'Donell)]. A alelopatia é o fenômeno que trata da infl uência de uma planta sobre outra a partir da liberação de substâncias químicas no meio, e pode ser usada em agroecossistemas como supressora de invasoras. O objetivo deste artigo é relatar o trabalho que foi desenvolvido no sentido de avaliar o efeito alelopático dos extratos das espé-cies medicinais capim-limão [Cymbopogon citratus (DC) Stapf.] e sabugueiro (Sambucus australis Cham & Schltdl.) na germinação e desenvolvimento inicial da espécie corda-de-viola. O procedimento foi realizado em dois experimentos complementares: germinação e desenvolvimento inicial da corda-de-viola. As sementes de corda-de-viola foram submetidas ao extrato aquoso quente de capimlimão e sabugueiro em diferentes concentrações. Como substratos foram usados placas de Petri e rolos de papel germiteste, para germinação e desenvolvimento inicial, respectivamente. Os ensaios foram armazenados em câmara de germinação com fotoperíodo de 12 horas a 25°C. Foram avaliados: porcentagem, tempo médio e velocidade média de germinação, além do comprimento médio da raiz da corda-de-viola. Constatou-se ausência de efeito alelopático na germinação da espécie corda-de-viola, porém, houve efeito no seu desenvolvimento inicial quando exposta ao extrato aquoso quente das duas espécies medicinais.

RESUMOCrescimento e produtividade de soja após cultivo solteiro e coquetel de plantas de cobertura A adequação da cobertura vegetal à cultura agrícola e ao manejo de solo é importante para obtenção de melhorias do sistema e, consequentemente, de maior produtividade. Nesse contexto, este estudo analisou a interferência de restos vegetais de aveia preta (Avena strigosa Schreb) (AP) e coquetel de aveia preta, nabo forrageiro (Raphanus sativus L.) e ervilhaca-comum (Vicia sativa L.) (CO) no índice de velocidade de emergência (IVE), velocidade de emergência (VE) de plântulas, altura de plantas e produtividade da cultura da soja em intervalos diferenciados entre dessecação da cobertura vegetal com glifosato 480 (3L ha -1 ) e semeadura da cultivar BRS 232. Parcelas de 5 m x 2,5 m, com 1 m de bordadura, receberam quatro tratamentos com cobertura AP, quatro para CO e uma testemunha para cada cobertura, ao acaso, com cinco repetições. A dessecação foi nos intervalos de 1, 10, 20 e 30 dias anteriores à semeadura da soja. A colheita foi manual e a produtividade, ajustada para 13% de teor de água. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado, em esquema de parcelas subdivididas, teste de Scott e Knott a 5% de probabilidade. Pelos resultados obtidos pode-se recomendar a utilização do coquetel de coberturas na cultura da soja a fim de proporcionar emergência de plântulas mais vigorosas. A semeadura da soja é recomendada a partir de 10 dias após a dessecação da cobertura vegetal. The use of cover crops is important for the agricultural crop and soil management in order to improve the system and, consequently, to increase yield. Therefore, the present study analyzed the effect of crop residues of black oat (Avena strigosa Schreb.) (BO) and a cocktail (CO) of BO, forage turnip (Raphanus sativus L.) (FT) and common vetch (Vicia sativa L.) (V) on the emergence speed index (ESI), seedling emergence speed (SES) plant height and soybean yield in different intervals between cover crop desiccation with glyphosate 480 (3 L ha -1 ) and BRS 232 cultivar sowing. Plots of 5 x 2.5 m with 1 m of border received four treatments with BO cover crops and four with CO as well as a control for each cover crop, at random, with five replications. The plots were desiccated in intervals of 1, 10, 20 and 30 days before soybean seeding. The harvest was manual while yield was adjusted to 13% of moisture content. The experimental design was completely randomized with splitplots and means compared by the Scott and Knott test at 5% of significance. The results showed that CO of cover crops can be recommended for soybean to obtain a more vigorous seedling emergence, from 10 days after cover crop desiccation. Palavras
