La responsabilidad de una institución de formación en Educación Superior frente al impacto y el legado que deja a su país debe reflejarse en el compromiso de aportar desde los saberes propios en los que forma a sus estudiantes, facilitando y acercando el conocimiento a sectores desfavorecidos o con dificultad al acceso de la información. Por esto, desde el programa profesional en Gestión de la Seguridad y la Salud Laboral de la Institución Universitaria Politécnico Grancolombiano (IUPG), se ha planeado una estrategia que pretende impactar las micro, pequeñas y medianas empresas (mipymes), que por diferentes condiciones no poseen los medios para la implementación de un Sistema de Gestión de la Seguridad y la Salud Laboral (SGSSL). Por lo tanto, el presente capítulo, muestra cómo fue la experiencia de crear y desarrollar un consultorio para la asesoría y acompañamiento de las mipymes en la implementación de un SGSSL, de modalidad virtual y mediado por tecnología. Tal vez, aquí radica la innovación educativa, en la creación de un consultorio empresarial único en el país, ya que la mediación y atención se hace con herramientas tecnológicas que facilitan el proceso y la cobertura del territorio nacional. Además, cuenta con una finalidad educativa y una estructura de funcionamiento definida por medio de un desarrollo web con herramientas de comunicación sincrónica
El presente documento plasma el proceso del desarrollo del simulador denominado Laboratorio de Riesgos Laborales para el programa de Gestión de la Seguridad y Salud Laboral el cual se ocupa de los riesgos Biológico, Ergonómico, Físico, Químico, Natural y Seguridad para cinco tipos de empresas diferentes (laboratorio, manufactura, oficina, pozo petrolero y empresa de servicios generales). Se tratará cómo se planeó la estrategia pedagógica y cómo se realizó el diseño instruccional para la creación de la herramienta de software a través de una planeación que va desde la descomposición de la competencia, pasando por un diagrama de tareas y finalizando en la elaboración del guion, para de allí pasar a diseño gráfico, diagramación y programación. El proyecto finaliza con la publicación de la herramienta en las aulas virtuales para los estudiantes del programa en dicha modalidad.
El debate acerca de la educación virtual en Colombia ha transitado por diversos espacios académicos. A finales de la década de los noventa se empezaron a visibilizar los primeros rastros de lo que apenas era un incipiente modelo que luchaba por afianzarse en un contexto que no favorecía su desarrollo. Hablar de educación virtual hace veinte años, implicaba explorar un terreno desconocido. Si bien es cierto que la educación a distancia había allanado el camino hacia formas de educación no presencial, la educación virtual no parecía prometedora en muchos aspectos para los aspirantes universitarios. A pesar de que el Ministerio de Educación Nacional promovía programas académicos de educación superior bajo esta modalidad, en la conciencia colectiva cobraba protagonismo un modelo más tradicional.
En la línea de investigación de lo psicológico en las organizaciones de la Escuela de Estudios en Psicología, Talento Humano y Sociedad del Politécnico Grancolombiano, se ha profundizado en diferentes aspectos asociados al riesgo psicosocial, y en cómo el trabajador se ve afectado por diferentes condiciones que pueden exacerbar los efectos de dichos riesgos, buscando profundizar en estrategias que mitiguen su impacto.
