O presente e-book de produção científica em Integração Sensorial, ora publicado sob o título de Coletânea de Estudos em Integração Sensorial: 2º volume, reúne um conjunto de trabalhos científicos conduzidos por professores e discentes do II curso de Certificação Brasileira em Integração Sensorial, promovido pela Integris Terapias, Cursos e Eventos, em parceria com a Universidade do Estado do Pará (UEPA).
Trata-se de uma publicação original das pesquisas científicas dos grupos de alunos que participaram deste curso, que abordam diversos temas de interesse na área, com resultados que expressam a pesquisa científica de temas que abordam a Integração Sensorial. Como característica da obra, os diversos assuntos abordados são tratados de forma investigativa e com amplo embasamento na bibliografia da área, o que confere a cada capítulo a qualidade científica pela qual todo trabalho acadêmico deve primar.
A relação entre as sensações, o cérebro e o comportamento é
observada quando os estímulos recebidos pelos órgãos sensoriais no
sistema nervoso central são organizados, interpretados e modulados,
resultando em informações que possibilitam respostas fisiológicas,
motoras e afetivas adequadas, denominando, assim, este processo
neurológico como Integração Sensorial (AYRES, 1972; WILLARD, 1998).
