Palavras-chave: Prototipagem Rápida, Design de Produto, Deficientes VisuaisAbstract: This article presents the results on the practical application of rapid prototyping during assistive product development process, in this case specifically aimed to a blind and visually impaired public. The unsystematic observation and synchronic analysis were important to identify relevant needs of this public and to establish project requirements. The research also shows the application of some kinds of rapid prototyping techniques used during alternative generation phase, besides its importance on anticipating project problems and the technical validation that were easily achieved with these tools.
There is a growth in the Comic’s publishing market aimed at more mature audiences in recent years, as well as in academic studies regarding the use of this media for children’s teaching and learning. However, the use of comics for the same purpose with youth and adults is barely perceived. There is also a popularization of comic in hypermedia environments, for its ease distribution. In this perspective, this study aims to identify the contributions of hypermedia in the language of Comics for reading and learning experience through a survey that uses a learning object - LO - containing webcomics with hypermedia elements. As a result of the survey, which collected data through questionnaires and focus groups, a very good response on the use of two hypermedia elements in comics was noticed: supplementary texts and animated gifs; and globally, there was a significant contribution to reading and learning experience of students.
