Durch katalytische Reduktion von 1,1‐Dimethyl‐cyclohexanon‐(4)‐essigsäureester‐(3) unter verschiedenen Bedingungen wurden die beiden stereoisomeren Oxyester hergestellt. Aus diesen erhielt man die entsprechenden Lactone und die eine Oxysäure. Die Zuteilung der cis‐ bzw. trans‐Form wurde auf Grund der verschieden grossen Beständigkeit der Oxyester und der Lactone vorgenommen. Allocyclogeraniumsäureester wurde sowohl aus dem cis‐Oxyester durch direkte Wasserabspaltung als auch aus dem cis‐Lacton über den γ‐Chlorester gewonnen. Die synthetische Allo‐cyclogeraniumsäure ist identisch mit der von Ch. A. Vodoz & H. Schinz beschriebenen Verbindung, welche bei der Cyclisation von mit β,γ‐ungesättigten Isomeren vermengter Geraniumsäure entsteht.

(2. IX. 50.)Beim Abbau der sog. ,,Allo-cyclogeraniumsaure" uber das Epoxyd hatten Ch. A . Vodox & B. Schina2) eine Ketosaure C,oHl,03 erhalten, fur welche die Konstitution der 1,l-Dimethyl-cyclohexanon-(4)-essigs%ure-(3) (11) wahrscheinlich schien. Daraus wurde sich fur die Allo-cyclogeraniumsaure die Struktur I ergeben3). Die Richtigkeit der Formel I1 fur das Abbauprodukt konnte nun durch Synthese bewiesen werden. I 8 I1 1. Weg. Aus ,t?, /FDimethylglutarsglure (111) stellte man durch Einwirkung von Phosphorpentachlorid bei -15 O das Dicarbonsiiure-dichlorid IV her. Diese wurde nach dem Aufbauverfahren von P. Arndt & B.Eistert4) uber das Diazoketon V direkt5) in den y , y-Dimethylpimelinsaureester (VI) verwandelt. Durch Kondensation nach Dieckmann erhielt man daraus den 1,l-Dimethyl-cyclohexanon-( 4)-carbonsQureester-(3) (VII). Das Natriumenolat dieses /I-Ketoesters ergab beim Erhitzen mit Rromessigsaure-methylester den Ketodicarbonsaureester VIII. Beim Kochen des letztern mit konz. Salzsiiure entstand unter Verseifung und Decarboxylierung in schlechter Ausbeute die 1,l-Dimethyl-cyclohexanon-(4)-essigs~ure-( 3) (11), welche mit der beim Abbau der Allo-eyelogeraniumskure erhaltenen Ketosaure Cl,H,,03 identisch war ; die Semicarbazone der beiden Verbindungen zeigten den gleichen Smp. 2 1 1 O , ) und gaben bei der Mischprohe keine Erniedrigung desselben.
