This research project has the purpose to analyze the implementation of tools and references of Extended Clinic and Paideia Method in the co-management of the Ouro Verde Hospital medical clinic, in Campinas-SP. In addition, this research project aims at stimulating the continuous improvement of this experience using some of the prerogatives of the analysis and evaluation of health policies and the references of the Paideia Method and Extended Clinic.Between 2008 and 2011, the medical clinic professionals structured the reference team work process and elaborated unique therapeutic projects. In addition, they promoted the inclusion and participation in the therapeutic process of users and their respective social networks. The reference team was multidisciplinary and its work was organized based on cross-organizational support and co-management, as suggested by the Paideia Method.By facing the challenges in using new references for medical clinic, many changes were introduced in the work process, such as group performance evaluation, which contributed to crossing of hospital's walls and building health networks. The broad healthcare processes that were built involved external collectives, with the goal of increasing cross-accountability among teams of the several parts of the medical clinic chain. This movement of subjects continuously reviewing their theoretical references and practices changed them, and improved health production. In conclusion, this research proposes the use of the references of Extended Clinic and Paideia Method as the conceptual foundation for organizing a new clinic practice.
