Objetivo: buscou-se apreender as representações sociais das equipes da Atenção Primária à Saúde sobre as práticas de cuidado às mulheres em situação de violência doméstica. Método: Pesquisa qualitativa baseada na Teoria das Representações Sociais. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevista semiestruturada aplicada a 24 profissionais da Atenção Primária à Saúde que atuam na Estratégia Saúde da Família de um município do interior da Bahia. Para análise dos dados, utilizou-se o software Interface de R pour les Analyses Multidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionnaires sob a perspectiva da Análise Fatorial por Correspondência e técnica de análise de conteúdo temática para contextualização dos resultados. Resultados: emergiram práticas de cuidado relacionadas à escuta, encorajamento, empoderamento e denúncia dos casos. Evidenciou-se ainda, o medo dos profissionais frente às possíveis represálias causadas pelos agressores e a falta de comunicação entre os setores da rede de enfrentamento à violência doméstica contra a mulher. O apoio de familiares, vizinhos, profissionais de saúde e setores públicos é apontado como importante prática de cuidado para que as mulheres saiam das situações de violência. Conclusão: urge a necessidade de rever o processo de formação profissional, fomentar capacitação e proteção dos profissionais de saúde para o melhor desenvolvimento das práticas de cuidado à mulher em situação de violência doméstica.
A violência doméstica contra a mulher tem sido um problema cada vez mais discutido que acomete diferentes âmbitos da sociedade ligados a fatores culturais, sociais e econômicos, sendo caracterizada como um importante problema de saúde pública. O objetivo do estudo foi descrever as representações sociais de profissionais de saúde que atuam no âmbito da Estratégia Saúde da Família (ESF) sobre a violência doméstica contra a mulher. Pesquisa descritiva de natureza qualitativa, embasada na Teoria das Representações Sociais, com 24 profissionais de Unidades de Saúde da Família, utilizando o software IRAMUTEq e Análise de Conteúdo Temática. Foram apreendidos o entendimento sobre o conceito e as formas de violência doméstica contra a mulher entre os profissionais da ESF. Nesse sentido, estudos nessa visão demonstram a necessidade de que profissionais da atenção básica possam identificar e notificar melhor casos de violência doméstica contra a mulher em suas unidades.
A população idosa está cada vez mais expressiva em números no Brasil, assim como o aumento da incidência das doenças crônicas não transmissíveis que acometem, preferencialmente pessoas de mais idade, estando entre essas doenças, as reumáticas. O objetivo desse estudo foi relatar as experiências dos discentes participantes de um projeto de extensão de intervenção fisioterapêutica em um grupo de idosos com doenças reumáticas desenvolvidas em uma Instituição Pública de Ensino Superior no estado da Bahia. Estudo é descritivo do tipo relato de experiência vivenciado por 13 discentes do curso de Graduação em Fisioterapia integrantes do projeto de extensão “Cuidado fisioterapêutico: funcionalidade e qualidade de vida de idosos com doenças reumáticas assistidos no NIEFAM”, que atendeu 35 idosos com doenças reumáticas durante o período de abril a dezembro de 2019, no Centro Social Urbano Tote Lomanto (CSU) no município de Jequié-BA. A experiência apresentou como resultados o aprimoramento do conhecimento teórico e prático dos discentes a respeito do cuidado fisioterapêutico nas doenças reumáticas, além de gerar impacto na funcionalidade e qualidade de vida dos idosos participantes. Ações de extensão são fundamentais para que os discentes aprimorem o conhecimento técnico, ético, humano e social, além de atender as demandas advindas da sociedade.
