Given that bone consolidation (callus formation) has two important phases in terms of vascular factors, the inflammatory phase and the vascular invasion phase, on the one hand, and, the existence of biologically active compounds in the composition of wine (compounds that influence inflammation and vascular development), on the other hand, we can conclude that there is definitely a link between wine consumption and bone consolidation or bone structure. Considering the idea stated above, in conducting our research we have pursued the following objectives: to set thresholds for defining occasional and chronic alcohol consumption, according to literature; to investigate how chronic or occasional wine consumption and non-consumption influence bone quality; to investigate how chronic or occasional wine consumption and non-consumption influence the conformation of trajectories of distal radius fractures (DFRs); to investigate the secondary displacement of DFRs in chronic or occasional wine consumers and nonconsumers; to determine the phenolic composition for a number of five wines of designated origin. There is certainly a positive influence in the bone consolidation process in people who chronically or occasionally consume wine compared to the other population groups. The substantial accumulation of phenolic compounds in red wines recommends their consumption for curative purposes.

The aim of the present study was to characterize the antibiotic resistance profile of enterobacteriaceae strains isolated in Infectious Diseases Hospital Galati, Romania, during 2016, in order to guide the local antibiotic stewardship strategy. There are 597 biological samples with positive cultures for enterobacteriaceae, related to invasive and non-invasive infections. The main bacterial genus were E. coli 62%, Klebsiella spp 15%, Proteus spp 11% and Salmonella spp 6%. Over a half of isolated strains have one or more antibiotic resistance. The resistance level depends on bacterial genus, with highest level found among the rare isolates: Enterobacter spp, Citrobacter spp, Morganella spp and Serratia spp. The rate of MDR was 17.,6% for E. coli, 40.9% for Klebsiella spp and 50.7% for Proteus spp. while the rate of strains producing Extended Spectrum of Beta Lactamase are 7.2% for E. coli, 28.4% for Klebsiella spp and 12.3% for Proteus spp. The carbapenem resistant strains were found in 1.1% cases.

Many of the chemical additives in the plastic products, besides the possible safety problems that may arise during the production process, have negative effecty, too, on the environment and human health. Plastic is a synthetic polymer. The polymers include starch, latex and cellulose, combined with different substances and chemicals, used in various formulas, the polymer is included in the naylon. At high temperatures such as microwave oven temperature, polymers can migrate from the packaging plastic in food. In most cases, establishing the diagnosis of allergic disease is a complex and difficult operation. This difficulty is primarily related to the polymorphism of the clinical manifestations accompanying allergic reactions, the existence during the evolution of these conditions, of long clinical asymptomatic latencies, as well as due to numerous subjective and objective symptoms that overlap with those caused by the allergen, complicating and altering the clinical picture. Allergies are an abnormal reaction of the body to allergens and develop in two stages. After the first contact with the allergen, the IgE antibodies are produced, and the second contact produces the allergic reaction. The produced antibodies will release the chemical mediators (histamine, prostaglandine, etc.) which cause an inflammatory response, vascular changes and irritation of the tissues, with the appearance of symptoms specific to allergy: redness, rash, itching, edema, etc.The so complex symptom of allergic diseases comprises several systems and organs at the same time, and the existence of over-additive phenomena makes it impossible to have characteristic clinical symptoms of allergic diseases that allow their identification only by clinical examination. However, this does not mean that the clinical exam and the analysis of the various objective and subjective symptoms presented by the patient is of no importance in establishing the diagnosis and recognizing the allergic character of the disease.The study includes a number of patients studied at the Galati Allergy Clinic. Specific immunotherapy known as desensitization or anti-allergic vaccination, is designed to fight the causes of allergies that occur when the immune system misinterprets harmless substances. Clinical examination results are complemented by allergen and specific antibody research; skin tests are the most common method for allergen detection.

The aim of the paper was to describe the advantages and disadvantages of the surgical adhesives most useful in major cardiovascular surgery.

Because of its histological and embryological complex development, the ovary can be the source of a large variety of tumors, ovarian cancer being the fifth female neoplasia as a frequency. A major clinical significance is that the ovarian tumor is asymptomatic for a long period of time.Ovarian proliferative pathology raises a number of important issues from both theoretical and practical point of view. The change in the therapeutic attitude, especially in the areas of surgery and chemotherapy, has led in the last decades to an improvement in the survival rate. Our retrospective study included the analysis of 64 patients with ovarian cancer. Ovarian neoplasms should have a multidisciplinary approache with individualized treatment for each patient. The long-term survival remains, however, the detection of the tumor at an early stage, the undetectment in the initial stages leading to a survival rate of 5 years less than 20%.
