Ein neues Verfahren zur Darstellung von im Ring A zweifach ungcsiittigten Steroid-ketonen wird beschrieben.3-Ketone der Normal-Reihe ((2,-cis-Derivate) von Steroiden werden entgegen friiheren Vorstellungen direkt zu 2.4-Dibrom-ketonen halogeniert, die Bich durch einfache Bromwaseeretoffabspaltung in die A1.4-Dien-3-ketone iiberfiihren lassen. Als Nebenprodukte werden bei dieser Reaktion 2-Brom-A1-steroid-3-ketone erhalten, deren Entgtehung auf eine Brom-Wanderung von C, nech C', zuriickgefiihrt wird.Vor einiger Zeitl) konnten wir iiber ein Verfahreq zur Umwandlung von Steroiden mit cis-Verknupfung der Ringe A und B (Normalreihe) in die isomeren trans-Verbindungen (alb-Reihe) berichten. Es gelang uns, das Sterinderivat Koprostanon (I S)*) in Cholestanon (V S) und in der Gallensaurereihe 3-Keto-12a-acetoxy-cholansaure-methylester (I G) in die entsprechende allo-Verbindung' (V G) iiberzufiihren. Der so nach unserem Verfahren erstmalig gewonnene 3-Keto-12a-acetoxy-alb-cholans~ure-methy~ester (V G) sol1 te uns dazu dienen, nach Bromierung an den C-Atomen 2 und 4 and anschlie-Bender HBr-Abspaltung zu einem A1.4-Dien-keton zu gelangen, das fur Aromatisierungsversuche in der Reihe der Gallensauren geeignet war.Die ersten Stufen des Verfahrens erforderten in der Gallens?urereihe zu-nLchst die Einfiihrung einer Doppelbindung in 4.5-Stellung. Der zweite Teil der Reaktiomfolge bestand in der Uberfuhrung des ungesiittigten Ketons I1 in den zweifach ungesattigten Enolather 111, der partiellen Hydrierung deeaelben (IV) und der schlieNichen Spaltung des gebildeten Enolathers zum transgeton V.Aus Cholestenon-enoliither (I11 S) erhielten wir in neutmler Losung den Cholestanon-enolather (IV S) in 70% Ausbeute; hierbei verlagert sich ntlch Hydrierhg der hS.6-Doppelbindung die verbleibende A3.4-Doppelbindung1 in die 2.3-Stellung3). Die entsprechende, uns hauptsachlich interessierende Reaktion mit den Derivaten der Desoxycholsaure verlief jedpch nur mit 20-30% Ausbeute an gesuchtem Enolather I V G, da als Nebenprodukt der Enoliither des als Ausgangssubstanz verwendeten cis-Ketons (VI G) auftrat. Es ist dies einer der seltenen Falle einer Hydrierung der AS.6-Doppelbindung zu einem Derivat mit cis-verknupften Ringen'). Weiterhin konnte aus den Mutter-*) XXXII. Wir bemiihen uns seit einiger Zeit, in den natiirlich vorkommendeii Steroiden mit cis-Verkniipfung der Ringe A und B -speziell bsi Gallensauren -den Ring A zu aromatisieren, einerseits dwch Methylabspaltung, I11 4 IV, andererseits durch Methylwanderung, I11 -+ V. Die notwendige Voraussetzung fiir diese partiellen Aromatisierungen ist bekanntlich die Einfiihrung von je einem Bromatom in die 2-und 4-Stellung von 3-Keto-steroiden, I + 11, und eine hieran anschlieBende HBr-Abspaltung, wobei die zur -4romatisierung des Ringes , 4 allein befahigten ~I**~-Dienone-3 (111) entstehen, TI + 111.

Die beiden Doppelbindungen befinden eich hiernach zwischen den C-Atomen 3 und 4 sowie 5 und 6 , also in verschiedenen Ringen des Steroid-Skeletts.
