Introducción. En este trabajo se presenta la evaluación de dos programas de formación, uno dirigido a maestros y otro a alumnos con el objetivo de mejorar el bienestar personal y social mediante el desarrollo de la competencia emocional (conciencia emocional, regulación emocional, autonomía emocional, competencia social y competencias para la vida).Método. Han participado en la experiencia 92 maestros y 423 niños de 6 a 12 años de diversos centros de educación primaria. Se ha utilizado un diseño cuasiexperimental pretestpostest con grupo control para evaluar la eficacia de cada uno de los programas de formación.Para ello se han aplicado diferentes instrumentos para medir la evolución la competencia emocional y sus cinco dimensiones.Resultados. La investigación demuestra una mejora significativa de la competencia emocional de los participantes al final de la intervención, junto a un mejor clima de relación en las escuelas.Discusión y Conclusión. Se corrobora la opinión de los expertos en el tema quienes afirman que las competencias emocionales tales como: la conciencia emocional, la regulación emocional, la autonomía emocional, las competencias sociales y las habilidades de vida y bienestar pueden enseñarse y aprenderse.Palabras Clave: Educación Emocional, inteligencia emocional, aprendizaje social y emocional, evaluación de programas, escuela primaria, evaluación de la competencia emocional. A partir de la convicción de que la educación debe preparar para la vida, en los últimos años se ha generado un movimiento a favor de promover, difundir y desarrollar la educación emocional como innovación psicopedagógica. Con un enfoque de ciclo vital, esta forma parte del currículo académico en todas sus etapas. En este artículo se aportan orientaciones para su puesta en práctica y elaborar programas en los centros educativos de cualquier nivel. Se hace una propuesta de los objetivos y contenidos curriculares más apropiados para trabajar con personas de 3 a 16 años. También se reflexiona acerca de las competencias a desarrollar, las metodologías o estrategias didácticas apropiadas y acerca de los criterios a tener en cuenta en la elaboración de los programas de educación emocional.
RESUMENSon varios los autores que han señalado la importancia de variables relacionadas con la inteligencia emocional, el ambiente escolar y la autoestima del individuo. En este sentido, el presente estudio busca examinar la relación entre las variables de autoestima, clima de aula, nivel de bienestar (evaluado con la escala de ansiedad-estado), el rendimiento académico y las competencias emocionales (conciencia emocional, regulación emocional, autonomía emocional, competencia social y competencias para la vida y el bienestar) en una muestra de escolares de educación primaria. Para este fin, se evalúa a los alumnos mediante un protocolo de cuatro instrumentos autoinformados (QDE, STAIC, A-EP y CES), además de recoger las notas de las materias instrumentales. ResumenLa escasez de literatura previa que explore y estudie el efecto de la adquisición y desarrollo de un vocabulario emocional adecuado en el entorno escolar se suma al hecho de que no existe una educación emocional sistemática en los centros escolares. A partir de la hipótesis de que el profesorado posee un vocabulario emocional reducido, y que por ende, los alumnos no adquieren el nivel deseado de vocabulario emocional, el presente estudio aporta información sobre este aspecto a partir de un cuestionario aplicado a 276 profesores de lengua y 244 estudiantes de tercer curso del Grado de Primaria. Los resultados muestran que se desconocen de manera relevante las posibilidades y potencial del vocabulario emocional. Esto señala la necesidad de desarrollar un vocabulario emocional más rico tanto en profesores, especialmente de lengua y magisterio, como en los alumnos. Los resultados mostraron diferencias significativas (p < .001) al estudiar los dos colectivos de estudiantes, los tres tipos de emociones, los cuatro dominios de acción motriz, los juegos ficticios y reales, y los juegos con o sin competición. también se encontró que la cooperación, los juegos reales y, en general, los juegos competitivos registraron los valores más intensos de emociones positivas.
