This research aims to analyze the difference effectiveness of learning model Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) and model learning problem based learning (PBL) to students' mathematical reasoning skills. The design of this research is quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study is the students of grade VIII SMPN 1 Watubangga 2015/2016 year that studying about building a flat side space. The data of mathematical reasoning skills is obtained by using the instrument in the form of mathematical reasoning test. Data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis, F test with t test (paired-samples t test and independent-samples t test), at α = 0,05 . Based on the result of analysis of research data obtained that: 1). Student's mathematical reasoning skills before being taught with RME, PBL, and Direct learning models are in the less category after being given learning with the learning model RME, PBL and Direct students' mathematical reasoning skills are in sufficient category. Increased students' mathematical reasoning skills are in the medium category; 2). There is an improvement in students' mathematical reasoning skills after being taught with RME, PBL and Direct learning models; 3). The mathematical reasoning skills of students taught using the RME learning model were not significantly different from those taught by the PBL learning model; 4). There is a difference in the effectiveness of the learning model on improving students' mathematical reasoning skills, which is taught using a learning model RME more effective than students taught by direct learning model; 5). The students' mathematical reasoning skills are taught using the PBL learning model more effective than students taught by direct learning model; 6). Student activity during learning process using RME learning model and PBL learning models, indicating that students are very active.
The purpose of this research is to improve the ability of mathematical representation of Grade VIII2 students at SMP Negeri 3 Raha 2018/2019 Academic Year during mathematics learning activities with the application of cooperative learning model in the type group investigation with open ended problem approach. The type of research is classroom researh of two cycles based on teaching syllabus of the mathematics teacher in class VIII2. Each cycle is carried ot based on the competency standards to be achieved in learning. The cycle in this class action research through four stages, namely : planning of action; implementation of action; observation and evaluation; reflection. Based on the result of research conducted on the Grade VIII2 students at SMP Negeri 3 Raha 2018/2019 Academic Year on the competency standards: calculating area and volume of prism and pyramid using cooperative learning model in the type group investigation with open ended problem approach can improve the ability of mathematical representation, which are : respones and learning outcomes shown in cycle II are primly goodand the students scoreof mathematical representation test capability in each cycle has improve signivicantly, until 80% on the last cycle. Moreover, the results showed that there are only 4 students from total 20 students who obtain score 68 which is the minimum completeness criteria set by the school . Student activities and learning management by the teacher in the learning process also increased to cycle II reaching an average of 82% and 81%. Therefore, learning by applying cooperative learning model in the type group investigation with open ended problem approach can improve the ability of mathematical representation
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of learning anxiety and parenting patterns on student achievement. This research is an ex post facto research conducted at SMP Negeri 3 Kolaka in class VIII. The population referred to in this study is the entire class VIII with a total of 68 students. The sample used in the study is a saturated sample. This research data was collected using a questionnaire technique to investigate learning anxiety and parenting patterns and using documentation to collect data on mathematics learning achievement taken from the grade VIII student report cards of SMP Negeri 3 Kolaka in the even semester. The conclusion obtained is that there is an effect of learning anxiety and parenting patterns simultaneously on the mathematics learning achievement of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 with the contribution level of learning anxiety and parenting patterns on students' mathematics learning achievement of 1.61%.
The purpose of this study was to explore ethnomathematics in the Dayak Pompak'ng ethnic marriage tradition. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. This research was conducted on the Dayak Pompak'ng community, especially in Lintang Pelaman Village, precisely in Lintang Pelaman Hamlet, Kapuas District, Sanggau Regency, West Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. The data sources are custom leaders and mathematics teachers, and Dayak Pompak'ng people. Data collection techniques used in this study are direct observation, direct communication, and documentary techniques. Data collection tools used are observation sheets, interview guidelines, and documents. The data analysis technique used in this research is data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing/verification. The validity checking technique used is source triangulation. Based on the data analysis conducted on the findings in the field and interviews, the results of this study indicate that there are wedding traditional tools and activities that have mathematical concepts in form, use in the form of tools used, and how to use these tools. The materials in the traditional Dayak Pompak'ng ethnic game are flat shapes, Pythagorean theorem, spatial figures, calculations and sequences and series. The results showed that there was a relation between local culture and mathematics learning.
