Introducción: El síndrome visual informático (SVI) es un trastorno que se manifiesta con alta frecuencia en personas que hacen uso continuo de dispositivos electrónicos, generando síntomas que no solo afectan el sistema visual y ocular, sino que también pueden generar malestar a nivel musculoesquelético. Durante el cambio de la modalidad de clases de la educación presencial a la educación virtual en respuesta a la pandemia del virus SARS-CoV-2, los docentes incrementaron significativamente el tiempo dedicado a actividades de teletrabajo y a la impartición de clases virtuales, lo que aumentó la aparición del SVI, con la consiguiente presencia de síntomas que afectan el confort durante la jornada laboral e incluso después de ella. Objetivo. El objetivo fue identificar los síntomas del SVI en los docentes y las estrategias que han empleado para disminuirlos. Metodología. Se empleó una metodología de alcance cualitativo y de diseño narrativo, mediante una entrevista a profundidad para explorar los síntomas del SVI y las estrategias utilizadas por los docentes afectados. Luego, se diseñó material preventivo valorado por la percepción de los docentes en cuestión. Resultados. Los docentes presentaron síntomas relacionados con el SVI que afectaron su confort durante la jornada laboral y después de ella. Los síntomas incluyeron fatiga visual, dolor de cabeza, irritación ocular y cervical, y en algunos casos, síntomas psicosociales como ansiedad y estrés. Implementaron diversas estrategias, como el uso de lubricantes oculares, pausas activas y posiciones ergonómicas óptimas frente a las pantallas. El material preventivo diseñado fue valorado positivamente por los docentes. Conclusión. El SVI es un problema común en docentes que trabajan en modalidad virtual y teletrabajo. La implementación de estrategias y la disponibilidad de material preventivo pueden disminuir los síntomas relacionados con este. Área de estudio general: salud ocupacional. Introducción: especialmente en la formación de adultos, donde a menudo se le otorga menos relevancia. El reto radica en capacitar a los docentes universitarios en las competencias necesarias para implementar la gamificación en sus clases, ya que la alta carga laboral, la falta de información y motivación, así como la escasa difusión de estos temas, hacen que estas nuevas tendencias educativas se excluyan de la planificación, ejecución y evaluación de los cursos. Objetivos: Este proyecto tiene como objetivo diseñar una propuesta de gamificación para que los docentes universitarios de Optometría adquieran competencias digitales. Para ello, se identificarán las herramientas digitales que usan los profesores, se determinarán las competencias necesarias para implementar la gamificación y se producirá contenido educativo para que los docentes adquieran habilidades y estrategias. El proyecto busca mejorar la calidad de la educación en Optometría a través del uso de tecnologías educativas. Metodología: Este proyecto de innovación educativa se basa en principios metodológicos que implican seleccionar, organizar, utilizar y aplicar elementos del plan de estudios para abordar una necesidad. El enfoque es cualitativo, ya que busca poner en evidencia las competencias subjetivas, y descriptivo, pues busca describir, comprender e interpretar los fenómenos a través de las percepciones y significados producidos por las experiencias de los participantes. Resultados: Se encontró que un bajo porcentaje (12%) de los docentes de Optometría utilizan actividades de gamificación en sus clases. Las principales razones incluyen la falta de tiempo, el desconocimiento de nuevas estrategias educativas y herramientas digitales. Para abordar esta problemática, se realizó una búsqueda sistemática de herramientas y recursos útiles para aplicar la gamificación en clases universitarias. Se descubrió que gran parte de las actividades gamificadas están dirigidas a estudiantes de primaria y secundaria, lo que implicó adaptarlas al nivel universitario. Después de la capacitación en gamificación, los docentes adquirieron competencias básicas que les permitirán implementar estas técnicas en su práctica docente, las cuales fueron valoradas mediante una prueba. Conclusiones: La implementación de la gamificación en la educación universitaria puede tener un impacto positivo en la motivación de los estudiantes, al fomentar su autoevaluación y desafío personal, estimulando su pensamiento crítico y competitivo. En áreas de estudio como la Optometría, en las que la tecnología avanza rápidamente debido a la globalización, la inclusión de actividades gamificadas y la aplicación de la autoevaluación y la tecnología en el proceso educativo pueden ayudar a formar profesionales eficientes y adaptados a las exigencias del futuro.
