Introducción: El síndrome visual informático (SVI) es un trastorno que se manifiesta con alta frecuencia en personas que hacen uso continuo de dispositivos electrónicos, generando síntomas que no solo afectan el sistema visual y ocular, sino que también pueden generar malestar a nivel musculoesquelético. Durante el cambio de la modalidad de clases de la educación presencial a la educación virtual en respuesta a la pandemia del virus SARS-CoV-2, los docentes incrementaron significativamente el tiempo dedicado a actividades de teletrabajo y a la impartición de clases virtuales, lo que aumentó la aparición del SVI, con la consiguiente presencia de síntomas que afectan el confort durante la jornada laboral e incluso después de ella. Objetivo. El objetivo fue identificar los síntomas del SVI en los docentes y las estrategias que han empleado para disminuirlos. Metodología. Se empleó una metodología de alcance cualitativo y de diseño narrativo, mediante una entrevista a profundidad para explorar los síntomas del SVI y las estrategias utilizadas por los docentes afectados. Luego, se diseñó material preventivo valorado por la percepción de los docentes en cuestión. Resultados. Los docentes presentaron síntomas relacionados con el SVI que afectaron su confort durante la jornada laboral y después de ella. Los síntomas incluyeron fatiga visual, dolor de cabeza, irritación ocular y cervical, y en algunos casos, síntomas psicosociales como ansiedad y estrés. Implementaron diversas estrategias, como el uso de lubricantes oculares, pausas activas y posiciones ergonómicas óptimas frente a las pantallas. El material preventivo diseñado fue valorado positivamente por los docentes. Conclusión. El SVI es un problema común en docentes que trabajan en modalidad virtual y teletrabajo. La implementación de estrategias y la disponibilidad de material preventivo pueden disminuir los síntomas relacionados con este. Área de estudio general: salud ocupacional. Las injusticias sociales, la precariedad en la que vive la población mundial, la falta de oportunidades, así como las violencias de los conflictos armados, de las migraciones y desplazamientos forzados y de la guerra interimperialista por los recursos (pro-ducto del capitalismo global) nos llevan a preguntarnos ¿cuál es el papel del educador y de las instituciones educativas frente al mundo actual? Responder a este interrogante es prioritario en contextos de transformaciones políticas, sociales y culturales, y en escenarios de conflicto, como Colombia y otros países de la región que requieren de particular interés. En esta obra se abarca la relación entre la educación, el territorio y la reconciliación; lo cual impone la necesidad de intercambiar experiencias educativas relevantes que impacten de forma positiva en la reconstrucción de la memoria y de los territorios, desde la perspectiva de la reconciliación política, cultural y simbólica. Asimismo, abre un debate alrededor de lo público, la política y lo político como espacios de inclusión, desarrollo territorial y construcción social para el mejoramiento de la calidad educativa y las condiciones de vida
