Employee performance is an interesting topic in the field of human resource management to be researched. This research aims to determine the effect of organizational culture on job satisfaction, the influence of leadership on job satisfaction, the effect of job satisfaction on employee performance, the influence of organizational culture on employee performance, the influence of leadership style on employees, the influence of leadership on employee performance through job satisfaction. This research is a quantitative research. The population is 108 employees of PT. Epson with a sample of 108 employees. The sampling technique uses census techniques. Data analysis techniques using multiple linear regression and path analysis. The results of this research are organizational culture has a significant effect on job satisfaction, leadership has a significant effect on job satisfaction, job satisfaction has a significant effect on employee performance, organizational culture has a significant effect on employee performance, leadership has a significant effect on employee performance, organizational culture has a significant effect on employee performance through job satisfaction, leadership has a significant effect on employee performance through job satisfaction.
Tourism is a sector that can determine the economic welfare of local communities. Tourism development needs to pay attention to aspects of facilities, tourists, and local communities, so as to create sustainable integration. The objectivity of this study is to contribute to tourism development in Samarinda City with a strategy that involves organizational innovation, management knowledge, organizational learning, and leadership transformation in the tourism community (government, business actors, and society). To answer these objectives, we use a research-based R&D approach. With careful planning, we developed several strategies by involving the Agency of Culture, Tourism, Communication, and Information Technology of Samarinda City in order to create a culture of learning and knowledge sharing through various productive agendas. Focus on organizational management, need to apply knowledge ineffective and conducive work procedures as a serious process. Organizational learning is part of the creation of competitiveness by those involved in the tourism industry. This is related to organizational culture and systems that grow because it can bring new ideas to various parties. In addition, the objectives of tourism development must also pay attention to social, historical, cultural, economic, and environmental aspects.
Abstract. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of transformational leadership on the work spirit of educational staf, the effect of work environment on the works spirit of educational staf, the effect of transformational leadership and work environment on the work spirit of educational staf of Riau Kepulauan University, with population of 76 educational staf. This research method using questionnaire, Mutile Linear Regression with SPSS statistic tool. The sampling technique used the census, the entire population was studied. The result of this research are: Transformational Leadership has no significant effect on work spirit with the value of Sig. 0,217. Work environment has significant effect on work spirit with the value of Sig. 0,004, Transformational Leadership and Work Environment have no significant effect on work spirit with the value of Sig. 0,429. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kuisioner dengan menggunakan Resgresi Linier Berganda dengan alat uji statistic SPSS. Teknik pengambilan sampelnya menggunakan sensus, seluruh populasi diteliti. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: Kepemimpinan berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap Semangat Kerja dengan nilai Sig 0,217, Lingkungan Kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Semangat Kerja dengan nilai Sig -0,004, Kepemimpinan dan Lingkungan Kerja berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap semangat kerja dengan nili Sig 0,429. This research aimed to empirically determine the direct effect of career development on the employee's performance, work motivation on the employee's performance, career development on the employee's job satisfaction, work motivation on the employee's job satisfaction, and job satisfaction on the employee's performance. Also, how to empirically determine the indirect effect of career development on the employees performance by job satisfaction and work motivation on the employees performance by job satisfaction. This research took sample of 160 employees related to the Regional Government of Riau Islands Province. The data were analyzed using "Path Analysis" of the statistical software SPSS 20. The results of this research are as follows career development had direct influence on the employees performance, work motivation had direct influence on the employees performance, career development had direct influence on job satisfaction, work motivation had direct influence on job satisfaction, job satisfaction had direct influence on the employees performance, career development had indirect effect on employees performance through job satisfaction, and work motivation had indirect effect on employees performance through job satisfaction.
This research aimed at finding the contribution of competence, motivation, and creativity toward teacher’s performance through work satisfaction on teachers at model schools in Batam. 117 teachers from three model schools were set as the targeted respondents. A questioner was given to the teachers to gain data on teacher’s competence, motivation, creativity, work satisfaction, and performance. The questioners were analyzed using SPSS for Windows version 22.0, for its reliability and validity, and System Equation Modeling (SEM) version 22.0 for normality, regression co-efficient, and determination. The data result showed that: (1)there are three variables which significantly have positive influence; competence toward work satisfaction, motivation toward work satisfaction, and motivation toward teacher’s performance;(2)one variable significantly have negative influence, that is creativity toward work satisfaction; (3) one variable has not-significant negative influence: creativity toward teacher performance;(4) two variables have not significant positive influence: competence toward teacher’s performance and creativity toward teacher’s performance. The contribution of competence, motivation and creativity toward work satisfaction is 76.1%, and the contribution of competence, motivation, and creativity toward teacher’s performance is 29.1%. In the three model schools in Batam, competence and motivation have positive contribution toward work satisfaction; motivation has positive contribution toward teacher’s performance; creativity does not contribute toward work satisfaction; competence and creativity contribute to teacher’s performance although is not significant.
