La frecuencia y duración de las interrupciones es uno de los temas con mayor importancia entre las empresas distribuidoras en la actualidad, cuyos estudios permiten garantizar el rendimiento del Sistema de Distribución ante fallas aleatorias. En base a este enfoque, se desarrolla el siguiente artículo, mediante el cual se evalúa el rendimiento del Sistema Primario de Distribución (SPD ) ante fallas aleatorias que se presentan en las redes tomando como base una metodología contenida entre el desarrollo de un modelo de confiabilidad enmarcado en la relación de la curva de riesgo (curva de la bañera) y la Probabilidad de Poisson para variables aleatorias discretas, con relación a una planificación a corto plazo (1 año), en adición, se evalúa el tiempo probable de falla del Sistema Primario de Distribución mediante el Método de Monte Carlo. Con lo cual se puede observar que las descargas atmosféricas y efectos ambientales son el principal problema.
En el presente trabajo se realizó el desarrollo de una aplicación informática para la coordinación y calibración de los relevadores de sobrecorriente 50/51 para sistemas radiales, mediante esta aplicación se llegó a observar las gráficas de las curvas de los relevadores modificando las variables de entrada como son Corriente del Tap (51) y Corriente del Instantáneo (50), TCs, Tipos de Curvas y su Dial para cada una de ellas, con el fin de calibrar y coordinar las protecciones entre curvas mediante el tiempo de actuación entre los Relevadores, en el programa Coordinación de Protección de sobrecorriente eléctrica (CPSElectric) desarrollado mediante la herramienta de programación Matlab r2019a, que se usó una de las aplicaciones incorporadas de esta plataforma como es la App Designer siendo está una de las nuevas opciones de programación en Matlab r2019a que permite reducir el tiempo de desarrollo de interfaces y la facilidad del diseño de las Aplicaciones para lo cual nos permite que el programa sea más interactivo a la hora de su uso ya que está enfocado para formar parte de laboratorio de protecciones eléctricas de la Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi mejorando el aprendizaje de los estudiantes a la hora de debatir sobre las protección de sobrecorriente 50/51, permitiendo obtener la visualización de resultados como son los tiempos de operación de las corrientes del Instantáneo (50) y su tiempo de margen de operación entre curvas de forma gráfica para garantizar los resultados se basó a diferentes normas estandarizadas como son la IEEE Std C37.112-2018 “Estándar para ecuaciones de características de tiempo inverso para relés de sobrecorriente” y la IEC 60255-3 “Relés de medidas y equipos de protección.”
