Objetivo: Mostrar los resultados obtenidos de las pruebas de espectroscopia de impedancias realizadas a recubrimientos FBE[1] y líquidos utilizados en tuberías recubiertas internamente que transportan fluidos altamente corrosivos del sector petrolero. Metodología: El estudio fue realizado mediante pruebas de laboratorio con el equipo Gamry 3000 y equipo prototipo, efectuando la medición a probetas recubiertas con resina epóxica en polvo Resicoat HMH09QF y recubrimiento líquido SigmaShield 1200, que fueron sometidas a procesos de soldadura que generaron diferentes fallas como los son ampollas, grietas, fisuras y quemaduras que son el objeto de análisis y medición de impedancias para lograr una caracterización y determinación de valores que permitan clasificar estos problemas con el fin de minimizarlos y corregirlos para evitar accidentes por fugas debido a fallas por procesos de alta corrosión en tuberías, mitigando el impacto ambiental. Resultados: Con los ensayos realizados a las probetas recubiertas se evidencio que las fallas en donde el recubrimiento se quema o se desprende de la tubería se presentan impedancias del orden de x104 y x105, para los casos de recubrimiento sin fallas las impedancias están en el orden de x109 y superiores, dejando las fallas intermedias como fisuras y ampollas en valores intermedios del orden de x108. Conclusión: El estudio permitió la caracterización de las diferentes fallas en los recubrimientos internos de tuberías que ocurren en los procesos de soldadura de las juntas, obteniendo valores de impedancia para cada una de las fallas que se pueden presentar y finalmente asociando unos rangos entre los que se caracterizan los diferentes problemas y fallas de los recubrimientos.
El presente paper describe el diseño y la construcción de un equipo que permite la verificación de conexiones soldadas de tuberías recubiertas internamente, utilizadas en el transporte de fluidos del sector petrolero, permitiendo caracterizar las diferentes fallas que ocurren en los procesos de soldadura e instalación antes de poner en operación los sistemas de transporte, este equipo permite hacer la detección de fallas y problemas que pueden presentarse en los procesos de instalación, haciendo uso de la técnica de espectroscopia de impedancias electroquímica (EIS). El equipo cuenta con un sistema mecánico para el desplazamiento del sistema de medición a lo largo de tuberías de 6 a 12 pulgadas de diámetro. Permite detectar fallas en los recubrimientos como lo son ampollas, grietas, fisuras y quemaduras producidos principalmente por el transporte y las altas temperaturas en los procesos de soldadura. El sistema cuenta con un equipo de medición basado en la técnica de espectroscopia de impedancias (EIS) y una interfaz de usuario que permite mover el dispositivo a lo largo de la tubería, controlar el punto de medición realizando barridos en 4 puntos principales a 0°,90°,180° y 270°, almacenando los datos de medición y procesándolos en una interfaz gráfica en Matlab, el diseño de portabilidad cuenta con un sistema de comunicación Bluetooth y un cable umbilical de alimentación para energizar el sistema y hacer la conexión a tierra de la tubería. Los ensayos realizados durante el desarrollo del equipo permitieron caracterizar la impedancia de varias superficies y asociar rangos a las diferentes imperfecciones en los recubrimientos.
