Die Schwanzflosse wird am Vorderschiff befestigt und der Walkorper legt sich dann bei Fahrt des Schiffes langsseit. Darauf kappt man die Schwanzflosse, damit sie sich nicht irgendaie festklemmen kann. Der Fang ist beendet, und die Fahrt geht zuruck zur Landstation.

Die I$sung zeigt eine blaue Fluorescenz. In konz. Schwefelsiiure lost sich der Korper orangegelb mit einer stark gelbgrunen Fluorescenz. Die diinnen, gelben Nadeh schmelzen bei 1 7 0~; K. Dziewonski und J . Moszew (1.c.) geben 169-1700 an. Im ubrigen decken sich die Eigenschaften mit denen von den beiden Autoren beschriebenen. Mit Pikrinsaure in Benzol entsteht ein bei ISO -1810 schmelzendes, in stahlblau schimmernden Nadeln krystallisierendes P i k r a t . 21.65 mg Sbst.: 71.91 mg CO,, 9.01 mg HIO. CI,HlrO (318.11). Ber. C 90.53. H 4.44. Gef. C 90.59. H 4.66. Benzanthron kann ebensowenig wie Phenanthren durch 4-stdg. Kochen mit 4 Mol. Maleinsaure-anhydrid in Nitro-benzol zur Reaktion gebracht werden.
