La educación superior técnica profesional es vista por un gran número de países como un componente clave del crecimiento económico y de la lucha contra los problemas de empleabilidad y desempleo de los jóvenes y las mujeres de sectores vulnerables. Pero los obstáculos para el desarrollo de las capacidades profesionales de la población vulnerable mediante educación superior técnica son diversos; uno de ellos es la dificultad de articular itinerarios formativos expeditos, el cual se suma a los problemas de acceso. El artículo describe una experiencia novedosa de articulación de itinerarios formativos, impulsada por un organismo gubernamental; en ella, 900 personas de escasos recursos, principalmente mujeres y jóvenes, completaron un programa de formación en oficios y continuaron estudios en carreras afines de Técnico de Nivel Superior en una universidad chilena. Se discute la experiencia desde una perspectiva doble, curricular y valórica, de articulación e inclusión social.
